This stands in stark contrast to the fiery style of Trump, who appears to revel in stoking the furnace of discord.
Interestingly enough, Trump had just a short while ago sung the songbird’s praises – describing her as ‘very beautiful’ and using auto-generated image technology to generate social media posts featuring her in a supporting role. However, Swift remains unfazed by such attempts at courting favor. Now that the lines are clearly drawn and she has thrown her weight behind Harris, Trump finds himself once again in the familiar territory of trading barbs with high-profile celebrities — a practice that became synonymous with his tenure in the White House.
Trump stated during a telephone interview with ‘Fox & Friends’ that he was ‘not a fan of Taylor Swift.’ The former president didn’t skimp on his words, forewarning Swift that she might see ramifications from her political gambit in her professional career. A clearly irritated Trump then diverted the conversation towards Brittany Mahomes, spouse of the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who incidentally shares a teammate with Swift’s boyfriend, tight end Travis Kelce.
Trump’s attention warmably shifted towards Brittany Mahomes when she was spotted endorsing a post by Trump on the popular social media platform, Instagram. Amazingly, this support for Trump’s platform swiftly morphed into a point of contention, with public backlash forcing a quick retraction in form of an ‘unlike.’ However, this didn’t dampen Trump’s spirits; rather, the quick flash of support was enough for him to respond favorably towards Brittany Mahomes.
Despite the ephemeral nature of the ‘like’ received from Brittany Mahomes, Trump seized upon the opportunity to reiterate his newfound fondness for her. ‘I actually like Mrs. Mahomes much better if you want to know the truth,’ he claimed. Surprisingly, Trump went on to declare that he sees her as a ‘significant Trump follower.’
