LISTEN HERE:

Famous actor Sylvester Stallone is not just a superstar on the silver screen but also a devoted father who safeguards his family with unparalleled intensity. Mr. Stallone is the proud father of three daughters – Sophia, aged 27, Sistine, aged 25, and Scarlet, aged 21. Besides his daughters, he has two sons named Sage and Seargeoh. The high degree of Stallone’s paternal protectiveness has been a known fact for a while, however, it has become evident that his zeal for their security amplified significantly when Sophia and Sistine relocated to New York City.

Always proactive in ensuring the safety of his family, Stallone deployed an extra layer of protection when his eldest daughters decided to move. Quite distinguished from the conventional, the Hollywood veteran arranged for the daughters to get a taste of self-defense training from Navy SEALS. This unusual step was taken prior to their move to the bustling city, emanating from a father’s instinctive need to ensure his children’s safety.

The remarkable episode came to light through an interview conducted by The New York Post with Sophia and Sistine Stallone. The interview was a part of the promotional activities leading up to the premiere of the second season of their family reality television show ‘The Family Stallone’. The daughters discussed their peculiar and challenging experience of self-defense training sessions.

Sistine shared insights into the intense physical regime. She divulged how the training sessions filmed for the reality show, which seemed ‘fairly easy and light,’ were drastically different than what it appeared on screen. She described it as the ‘most challenging’ thing they have come across. ‘We were in the woods for around six hours,’ she added. The final footage, a carefully curated montage, in contrast, portrayed a rather enjoyable training session.

Sophia and I indeed had a tough showdown with the experienced SEALS; they were undeniably the real deal’, said Sistine. Reflecting upon her father’s decision to subject them to such uncompromising training, Sistine revealed, ‘The idea wasn’t shocking, given our upbringing with regular exposure to such ‘military-like self-defense drills’.

Echoing her sister’s sentiments, Sophia elaborated, ‘We grew up with a disciplined routine, each day began at 6 a.m. with a peculiar breakfast of eggs paired with ketchup. This combination, for some mysterious reason, was a superfood according to our dad.’ Sophia further shared that their childhood was rich in physical activities like ‘various core-strength exercises, golfing, pool table games, shot put, and more’.

In a fascinating extract from ‘The Family Stallone’, viewers witness the grueling Navy SEALS inspired training. Included were activities such as chasing a chicken in a bid to imitate a scene from ‘Rocky II’. Stallone expressed his perspective saying, ‘Chasing a chicken seems like a playful challenge, but it actually requires speed, patience, and agility. Don’t underestimate the tiny creature that weighs three pounds and has a beak.’

‘That turned out to be surprisingly challenging’, Sistine commented on the chicken-chasing activity during the interview. Stepping into the arena with overconfidence, she soon realized she was in for a much tougher challenge than expected. ‘The chicken ultimately won over me’, she confessed.

As to whether Stallone’s worries for his daughters’ safety had eased now that they had spent over a year in the city, Sistine responded, ‘I doubt his apprehensions would ever subside completely. He is the quintessential protective dad with three daughters in their vibrant youth, traversing life, and out in the world.’

Their youngest sister, Scarlet, while studying at the University of Miami, stated ‘His priority has always been ensuring our safety above everything else. Security is paramount to him.’

Sophia pointed out an element that seems to provide some peace to their anxious father. Their mother and Stallone’s spouse, Jennifer Flavin, tracks their whereabouts via an app. This piece of tech, bridging the spatial divide between them, bestows the superstar dad with some degree of comfort.
