The unfortunate incident occurred while he was on duty, trying to safely retrieve a firearm discarded in a storm drain that had ensued from a police pursuit.
The valiant officer, Investigator Wayne David from the capital’s Metropolitan Police Department sadly succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday.
