Ronda Rousey Eyes Potential UFC Comeback Amid Family Expansion

The globally renowned former MMA athlete, Ronda Rousey, recently opened up about the possibility of her future association with UFC. Despite her departure from WWE a year ago, Rousey, at the age of 37, has prompted speculations from her fans about reprising her role in UFC, given her shift of attention towards relatively non-physical pursuits like parenting and writing.

Ronda Rousey, an unforgettable force in the UFC, recently took a step back to contemplate the prospect of her return during a discussion with Sports Illustrated. The star athlete, in response to a question about her potential UFC comeback, noted, ‘I most certainly would give it a shot, had I the opportunity,’ indicating fondness for her previous role.

However, the prospect of expanding her already delightful family has taken precedence over any professional aspirations for Rousey. She hinted towards her desire to start a large family, going as far as to allude to an ‘entire basketball team full of kids’. However, she noted that pursuit of such an aspiration allows no room for professional detours.

Today, she finds herself navigating the journey of motherhood after welcoming her daughter, La’akea, in September 2021. Significantly, her comments have not dismissed the possibility of adding more members to her family, thereby painting a picture of a delightful future filled with the happiness of a large family.

Besides focusing on her family, Rousey has found another meaningful venture to engage her time and creative energy with – writing. Marking her comeback in the literary world, she released her second memoir, aptly titled ‘Our Fight’, in April. This important work has added another feather to her cap.

Presently, Rousey seems to have divulged her creative prowess into creating a brand new graphic novel. Looking forward to launch a captivating project named ‘Expecting The Unexpected’, Rousey’s literary journey seems to be expanding and evolving. This anticipated project is set to be launched through popular crowdfunding platform, Kickstarter, on July 25.

On the other side of her multifaceted persona, Rousey’s last major interaction with the world of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) was her bout with Amanda Nunes at the UFC 207 event in December 2016. This marked her last professional appearance where she surrendered to Nunes, nonetheless leaving behind an unforgettable legacy.
