The Daily Caller reported A full 73% of Americans to believe there should be a maximum age limit for elected officials, according to a CBS News/YouGov poll released Thursday.

Democrats specifically and surprisingly had a strong belief in the age limit. 71% of Democrats polled were in favor, while Republicans and Independents both polled at a 75%, or three-quarters rate.

40% of respondents who favored the age limit chose 70 years old as their cut-off, while 18% chose 80, and 26% supported a limit as early as 60. The final 8% said that nobody over the age of 50 should be President.

In total, 67% of Americans would support an age limit that would bar the United States President, Joe Biden who is currently 79, from holding the office.

The support for an age limit in office was most popular among young and middle-aged people ranging from 30-64 years old. 68% of people ranging from 18-29 also supported the cut-off.

If Biden is to be granted a second term, in January 2025 he would be a whopping 82 years old when he is inaugurated for the second time.

Biden is currently the oldest President in United States History and will only continue to smash this record if he is elected again

A poll from the New York Times/Siena College found that even Democrats when correlating the issue with Biden himself still think it’s wrong for him to hold office. The poll found that only 26% of Democrats wanted Joe Biden to be nominated again.
