During a temporary pause of hostilities in November 2023, about half of the captives were released. ‘Much as we’re saddened that the ceasefire wasn’t coupled with an agreement for the hostages, which is undeniably critical at this moment. We regard this as a lost opportunity,’ Ronen informed CNN.
