You always know what to expect from the mainstream media, a thick contradicting narrative with a side of occasional defaming of minors.
Regardless of reality, Republicans are always wrong and racist, while the actions of Democrats are almost always portrayed as positive. This remains true even if Democrats and Republicans are doing the same things.
On January 31st of 2020 Donald Trump deployed a nationwide travel ban on China to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. As a result, Trump was labeled ‘Xenophobic’, and a ‘fear monger’.
A number of CNN articles written about Trump’s travel ban attempted to dismiss the preemptive measure and illustrate it as a broken policy that ‘seeded’ the COVID-19 outbreak and ‘could backfire’.
Nearly one year later in November of 2021, Joe Biden implemented his own set of travel restrictions on South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Lesotho, Eswatini, Mozambique, and Malawi in response to the Omicron variant of COVID-19.
President Biden was not criticized by the main stream media. He was not badgered at press events. His actions were painted as positive in the fight against the ‘on going pandemic.’
CNN’s top story on Biden’s restrictions was headlined “Biden moves to reassure weary Americans as fears rise about new Covid variant”. Quite a sharp turn in attitude for virtually the same story.
The worst part? Not only is the information incredibly biased, it’s often flat out not true.
At the beginning we mentioned the defamation of minors that our mainstream media has seemingly become notorious for.
Kyle Rittenhouse and Nick Sandman. These are two young men who’s names should ring a bell as their faces were plastered all over CNN and MSNBC for weeks straight.
Most of the information tied to their faces was simply, and outright false.
Sandman was involved in an altercation in Washington D.C. during a high-school field trip. He was approached by an indigenous man who incessantly beat a drum in the young boys face.
CNN and other major left wing news networks aired a small clip of the incident and portrayed Sandman as the antagonist.
Sandman sued CNN, NBC and The Washington Post for a whopping $800 million in total damages. Each suit was individually settled out for an undisclosed amount. It’s safe to say, Nick is now a wealthy individual, and rightfully so.
Rittenhouse the now acquitted 18 year old has an alarmingly similar story. Rittenhouse was involved in a self defense shooting that left two individuals dead.
One excerpt from a CNN article back in August of 2020 claims “Several videos from witnesses at the scene showed a person with a long gun opening fire during the protest.”
Rittenhouse had never “opened fire on a protest.” What was happening that night was no protest, it was a riot. The individuals he shot at, were not protestors. In that moment they were attackers who had formed a violent mob.
CNN portrays Kyle’s actions as ‘senseless’ violence. Painting a false narrative for their readers, and their watchers.
Everything the mainstream media does is narrative driven. They intend to illicit some type of response in their readers.
Be sure to never mistake them as unbiased or impartial reporters. Outlets like CNN, MSNBC, NBC, WaPo, NYT, etc are the farthest from.
