Ohio High School Football: Exciting Clashes in Second Week

The second week of high school football games in the heart of Ohio was packed with exciting clashes. Notably, competitive face-offs were held at Jonathan Alder-Columbus Academy, Olentangy Berlin-Upper Arlington, and Olentangy Orange-Westerville North.

On Friday, the contests presented a wonderful spectacle for sports fans. Beginning with the heated battle between Amanda-Clearcreek and Chillicothe Unioto, Amanda-Clearcreek emerged victorious with a final score of 27-21.

Another hard-fought match was witnessed at Bainbridge Paint Valley and West Jefferson, where the former prevailed by 28-14. Simultaneously, Bexley bested Mifflin with a solid win of 49-8. Furthermore, Briggs demonstrated an astounding performance by defeating Whetstone 59-7.

Under the Friday night lights, Buckeye Valley slightly edged out Heath with a tight 21-20 victory. Meanwhile, Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy outplayed Ready by 35-21. In the duel of Circleville and McArthur Vinton County, Circleville took home the win by 35-14.

Columbus Academy demonstrated their dominance over Jonathan Alder Friday night with a 27-9 victory. Despite a fierce fight, Dalton won against Highland by 48-26. Displaying their skills on the field, Danville managed to overcome Utica with a 24-14 win.

Friday also saw Delaware Hayes blanking Marion-Franklin 30-0. DeSales, on the other hand, managed a modest triumph over Hamilton Badin with a 17-3 win. Meanwhile, Dresden Tri-Valley showed a shutout performance against Licking Heights, finishing with 31-0.

In other noteworthy battles, Dublin Coffman outshined Miamisburg with a 28-16 win, while Dublin Jerome managed to triumph over Reynoldsburg 23-14. East Knox managed a fair victory against Bucyrus Wynford with a score of 25-12.

Back on the gridiron, Fairfield Union quashed Pomeroy Meigs’ hopes with a decisive 48-6 victory. Franklin Heights outdid Central Crossing 21-14, while Glouster Trimble claimed a convincing victory against Berne Union 46-13.

Football fans attending Grandview Heights vs West witnessed the former secure a victory with a 19-6 scoreline. Granville took down Bellville Clear Fork 31-14. In a showdown between Grove City and Westland, Grove City emerged on top with a 38-28 win.

Meanwhile, Grove City Christian shut out Franklin Furnace Green 45-0, and Groveport Madison squeezed by Gahanna Lincoln in a close 8-7 match. Harrod Allen East’s offensive onslaught overpowered Newark Catholic as the game ended in a 62-28 finish.

Lastly, wrapping up Friday night, Harvest Prep triumphed over Cincinnati Purcell Marian with a crushing 46-8 victory, and Hilliard Bradley defeated Hilliard Darby 28-7. Hilliard Davidson won against Canal Winchester 36-15, and Johnstown celebrated a convincing 39-0 victory against Coshocton.

In a stunning performance, KIPP Columbus defeated Eastmoor Academy 26-21. Lewistown Indian Lake saw a small margin of victory against Fairbanks with a final score of 19-16. Rounding off the Friday games, Liberty Union proudly defeated North Union 39-34.

Thursday also had its fair share of exciting matches. Big Walnut gave a smashing performance defeating Dayton Dunbar 56-8, while Beechcroft dominated Dayton Thurgood Marshall with a significant 40-0 scoreline. Centennial emerged victorious over South with a tight score of 14-12, with Independence defeating East 36-22 and Walnut Ridge prevailing over Linden-McKinley 32-22.
