Pro-abortion protesters gathered around a New York City church on Saturday as an anti-abortion group participated in their monthly demonstration.
The activists arrived at the Basilica of St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral in Manhattan Saturday morning to interrupt a group of pro-life protesters.
WNYW-TV reported that the anti-abortion protesters usually walk from the church to a nearby Planned Parenthood site on the first Saturday of every month.
One protester wearing a one-piece bathing suit was seen running around, waving dolls and yelling “I’m killing the babies!”
The woman appeared to be yelling at others while holding dolls tied to pieces of cloth. She also had a mask on at different times and stuffed her jacket inside the bathing suit.
Other protesters were singing in the street while carrying signs reading “America, where guns have more rights than I do,” “abortion is a gift,” and “RIP Jesus, killed by ‘woke’ deadbeat dad”.
Pro-life demonstrators could be seen standing outside the church, many reciting prayers together.
“We’re proud to see members of our Catholic Caucus @CatholicNYYRC standing up for their beliefs and for the fundamental rights of all unborn Americans,” said the New York Young Republican Club on Twitter.
The group “Ruth Sent Us” has been calling for pro-abortion protests at Catholic churches across the country.
“Whether you’re a ‘Catholic for Choice,’ ex-Catholic, of other or no faith, recognize that six extremist Catholics set out to overturn Roe,” the group tweeted.
