An unidentified man is accused of assaulting a 53-year-old female by delivering several punch hits to her face and head prior to the act of sexual assault. Following this heinous crime, the alleged perpetrator absconded on foot.
Following the incident, the woman victim was transferred to a nearby health institution where she currently remains, albeit in a stable health condition. This incident unfolded on Monday around 9:40 in the morning, and took place right outside 1985 Westchester Avenue. Based on the reports provided, a man of 55 years was assaulted from behind by an unidentified individual resulting in him falling to the concrete.
As a consequence of the hard fall, the victim lost consciousness after hitting his head. He was soon after transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi, and is now said to be in a stable condition, thanks to the swift action of the EMS. Post this violent confrontation, the assaulter escaped eastwards on Westchester Avenue, on foot.
The suspect in question is depicted as a man with a dark skin tone, approximately 30 years of age and weighing around 200 pounds. His attire at the time was reported to be a gray t-shirt and blue shorts. The New York City Police Department is urgently calling on anyone who is in possession of any potentially helpful information to step forward, to assist in the apprehension of this suspect.
Turning now to Delaware, the State Police are engaged in a probe into a recent bank burglary at the WSFS Bank, located at 4601 Kirkwood Highway in Wilmington. The event transpired on the afternoon of July 16, 2024, around 2:51 pm. Initial inquiries suggest that an unidentified white male suspect entered the financial institution and presented a note demanding money to one of the bank tellers.
Upon receiving the money from the teller who complied with his demand, the suspect made a quick exit on foot, making off with cash, the amount of which has not been publicly disclosed.
