Golden State’s Stephen Curry is set to take on the Memorial Tournament Workday Golden Bear Invitational pro-am Wednesday at Muirfield Village Golf Club. Although his shots may not be as successful as those of his teammates, it won’t stop the avid golfer and low-handicap Curry, as he joins Jordan Spieth, who won three major championships, and PGA Tour champ Keith Mitchell in the 7:29 a.m. tee time.
However, there’s no doubt that Curry will fare better than his father, retired NBA star Dell Curry, and brother Seth, who plays for the Brooklyn Nets, in terms of scoring. The Currys will play in a group that includes actor Chris O’Donnell, two-time major champ Collin Morikawa, and English tour player Tyrrell Hatton.
The pro-am will commence at 7 a.m. with a number of groups starting the tournament as early as 7am, including Scottie Scheffler, Brian Niccol, Scott Stallings, George Still, and Steve Young on the 7 a.m. tee time.
Matty Fitzpatrick, Juli Inkster, Lucas Glover, Kessel Stelling, and Lee Styslinger III are also taking part.
Other participants include Rickie Fowler, Egon Durban, Joel Dahmen, Kelley James, and Ryan Smith teeing off at 7:19 a.m., while Adam Scott, Josh Duhamel, Luke List, Charles Kelley, and Doug Mackenzie tee off at 7:43 a.m.
