Misguided Remnants of Bush Dynasty Side with Harris – A Potential National Disaster

In a shocking bout of political irony, over 200 Republicans, once loyal aides to the former Presidents, George W. Bush and George H.W. Bush, have taken a hard left, throwing their support behind Vice President Kamala Harris in an embarrassing testament to a divided GOP.

These repudiated Republicans, misguided remnants of the Bush dynasty, Sen. Mitt Romney, and the late Senator John McCain, were so blinded by their disdain for former President Donald Trump that they’ve traded their principles to side with the left, choosing to back a potential disaster for the nation, instead.

This unsettling letter did not only find support from misguided pawns of younger Bush’s administration but also was carelessly endorsed by at least five chronically misinformed aides associated with the late elder Bush.

Digging up the ghosts of their past, this motley crew of about 150 anti-Trump former staffers of Bush, McCain, and Romney aplomb repeated their past errors, undercutting their own party by supporting President Joe Biden in the 2020 election.

In an audacious demonstration of attempted unity, the Harris campaign has been arduously gathering and parading what little Republican support they could muster, thereby validating their ‘Republicans for Harris’ group, a laughable attempt at bipartisan support.

Last week’s convention hosted a menagerie of GOP speakers who have curiously switched sides: Former Rep. Adam Kinzinger, former Trump press secretary Stephanie Grisham, former Georgia Lt. Governor Geoff Duncan, Mesa, Mayor John Giles and Olivia Troye, a misplaced advisor to George W. Bush and Vice President Pence.

In a dramatic call to arms, they pleaded with more moderate Republicans and independents to ‘take a brave stand once more.’ Instead of promoting the traditional Republican values, they’re urging support for Harris over Trump in the upcoming fall election, causing a shake to the party’s core.

Deflecting from real issues, the letter condemns another term for Trump, suggesting his leadership that they claim as ‘chaotic’ would only serve to advance the so-called ‘dangerous goals of Project 2025’, a twisting interpretation of the Heritage Foundation’s policy blueprint.

Presumptuous concerns paint a picture of ‘hurting real, everyday people’ and weakening our ‘sacred institutions’ – a narrative that they hope would resonate with their peers, whilst overlooking the possibility of a more disastrous future under Harris.

In a clear distortion of reality, the letter alleges that under a second Trump administration, democratic movements abroad would be irreversibly compromised, a claim as misguided as their support for Harris.

The letter also throws a poorly aimed punch at conservative author and venture capitalist JD Vance, suggesting a conspiracy to appease dictators while disregarding our national allies. It’s quite ludicrous when the most significant international controversies have unfolded under Democrat administrations.

This is a perfect example of the Orwellian doublespeak of the left. They condemn Trump and his supposed acolytes while conveniently ignoring the distasteful record of their own endorsed leadership.

The letter finishes on a bleak note forewarning a detriment to the nation if Trump and his allies were elected yet again, conveniently glossing over the issues that have snowballed under the Biden-Harris administration.

This letter is nothing more than a twisted distortion of truth and genuine concerns, manipulated by those struggling to find their ideological clarity within the vast spectrum of GOP ideologies.

Disconcertingly pure in its intent and utterly misguided in its approach, this ‘endorsement’ is nothing short of a desperate call to arms, rallying the dissatisfied, uninformed, and misguided to march against their own self-interest in favor of a flawed Democratic ticket.

And thus, in this era of extreme political polarity and blurred party lines, the illusion of bipartisan support for Harris seems to be just that – an illusion, a construct of the left to sway opinion and undermine Trump’s truly conservative vision.
