Michael Cohen Trolled with ‘Turkey Face’ Filter During Livestream

Michael Cohen

Former Trump attorney Michael Cohen found himself at the center of an internet prank gone viral during a recent TikTok livestream. Cohen, attempting to speak seriously about the 2024 election results, was repeatedly interrupted by viewers who applied the “turkey face” filter to his video, much to his visible frustration.

“Can we stop with that? All right? I don’t like the stupid turkeys,” Cohen said, attempting to cover his camera with his hand. “Let’s just knock that stupid sh** off please,” he pleaded, as the filter kept reappearing.

Cohen tried to continue his message, addressing his earlier comments about leaving the country if Donald Trump won the presidency. “I did. I said I was leaving,” Cohen explained, while another viewer added the “laser eyes” filter to his face. “And then the following day — get that through your dumb heads — I turned around and I said there is no chance in the world that I’m leaving my country,” Cohen insisted as the turkey face filter popped up again. “Thank you very much. All right? I’m not leaving anywhere. You leave. This is my country.”

As Cohen struggled to regain control of the livestream, new filters kept appearing, including a giant pompadour hairstyle, oversized glasses, and even a cowboy hat. Exasperated, Cohen covered the camera, shaking his head in disbelief. “Would we stop, so we can — all right, two seconds or we’re gonna end up blocking this idiot,” he warned.

The video quickly went viral across social media platforms, with many viewers calling it “the funniest video of the year.” The absurdity of Cohen’s serious tone clashing with the silly filters had users in stitches, with one commenter noting, “I haven’t laughed this hard in ages.”

Cohen’s remarks during the livestream referred to comments he made in September, when he vowed to leave the U.S. if Trump won the presidency. “I’m out of here. I mean, I’m already working on a foreign passport with a completely different name,” Cohen told MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace at the time. He added that he wasn’t sure how it would impact his family, saying, “I don’t know how it’s going to work, as far as dealing with my wife and my children. I certainly don’t want them moving to where I’m looking to go.”

Cohen’s history with Trump has been tumultuous. He pleaded guilty in 2018 to multiple crimes, including lying to Congress, and served time in federal prison. During Trump’s hush money trial earlier this year, Cohen admitted to pocketing $60,000 from the Trump Organization by not reimbursing an IT firm he hired to rig online polls.

While Cohen attempted to make a serious point about the election and his previous statements, the trolling incident has now become a viral sensation, with many viewers focused more on the comical filters than on Cohen’s political commentary.
