DHS Secretary Purposely Allowed Migrants to Illegally Enter U.S.

LISTEN HERE:

Former Border Patrol Chief Rodney Scott testified on Wednesday that when Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas entered power with President Biden’s administration, allowing more migrants to cross the border into the U.S was his only concern.

Scott testified in front of the House Homeland Security Committee during a hearing that was focused on Mayorkas’ alleged ‘dereliction of duty.’

Mayorkas knew what effect his policies would have, and he is not incompetent, according to Scott. Rep. Carlos Gimenez, R-Fla. asked Scott if Customs and Border Patrol agents had advised Mayorkas and told him that he needed to reverse his policies to stop the migrants from coming to the United States. Scott responded that he was informed verbally and in writing.

Scott believes it’s important to understand that everything fundamentally changed since he worked for Secretary Wolf. There were team meetings and were asked for their input, and they were told what worked and what didn’t work. However, that ended on Jan. 20, 2021.

They no longer solicited the team’s input, and when they gave unsolicited advice, the team was basically put in a box. They were not interested in their suggestions. Instead, the priority was to expedite the processing and find new ways to allow migrants into the U.S. This was the only agenda. Scott served as Border Patrol head from January 2020 to August 2021, under both President Trump and President Biden.

House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Rep. Mark Green, R-Tenn., called Wednesday’s hearing and laid out allegations against Mayorkas in an earlier press briefing.

In addition to Scott, former acting DHS Secretary Chad Wolf and former acting director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Joe Edlow, were summoned by Republicans to provide testimony.

Green stated that right now, Secretary Mayorkas has either violated or subverted at least 10 laws passed by the United States Congress. He has even disregarded court orders, and his dereliction of duty has caused much harm to our country. The blatant disregard for the Constitution of the United States is just scratching the surface of the destruction caused by Mayorkas’ negligence.

Mayorkas and President Biden’s leadership has caused the migrant encounters at the U.S.-Mexico border to skyrocket. During Biden’s first full month in the office, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported 100,000 monthly encounters, but that number has increased significantly.

The number exceeded 230,000 from late 2022 to early 2023 and reports well over 200,000 per month today. Although some Republicans have called for Mayorkas’s impeachment, Green has put the brakes on the idea. He stated that Wednesday’s hearing is to obtain facts about Mayorkas’ poor performance.

Former Border Patrol Chief Rodney Scott testified on Wednesday that Secretary Mayorkas’s priority with the Biden administration was to allow more illegal immigration to occur. Scott testified in front of the House Homeland Security Committee during a hearing that was focused on Mayorkas’ alleged ‘dereliction of duty.’

Scott admitted that Mayorkas knew what impact his policies would have. Scott assured Carlos Gimenez, R-Fla. that Customs and Border Patrol agents had advised Mayorkas both verbally and in writing. Mayorkas no longer requested input from Scott’s team on what works and what doesn’t.

Instead, everything changed fundamentally when Mayorkas took office. Mayorkas’s only concern was processing and letting migrants enter the U.S. with greater ease.

Scott explained to the committee that when he worked for Secretary Wolf, his team was asked for input and what worked and what didn’t work. Sadly, after Mayorkas took office on Jan. 20, 2021, the input was no longer requested.

Scott noted that when his team provided unsolicited input, it was ignored. Mayorkas made it clear that he was only interested in processing and letting migrants into the United States. Scott served as Border Patrol head for President Trump and President Biden, from January 2020 to August 2021.

Rep. Mark Green called for the hearing to be held and outlined his allegations against Secretary Mayorkas in an earlier press briefing. Former acting DHS Secretary Chad Wolf and former acting director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Joe Edlow, were also summoned by the Republicans to offer testimony.

Green explained that Secretary Mayorkas has either violated or subverted at least 10 laws passed by Congress. He disregarded court orders and caused more harm to the United States. Mayorkas’ dereliction of duty is a blatant disregard for the United States Constitution.

Some members of the Republican party want to see Mayorkas impeached, but Greens has put that idea on hold for now. He focused Wednesday’s hearing on obtaining factual information about Mayorkas’ performance as secretary.

The migrant encounters at the Mexico-U.S. border have grown significantly since Mayorkas came to office with President Biden. In Biden’s first full month in office, U.S. Border Control reported only 100,000 monthly encounters, but that number has spiked.

From late 2022 to early 2023, the numbers have exceeded 230,000, and today the reports are well over 200,000 per month.

During the Wednesday hearing, former Border Patrol Chief Rodney Scott testified that Secretary Mayorkas’s priority was to allow more illegal immigration to occur in the U.S. Scott reaffirmed that Mayorkas was aware of the impact of his policies, making it clear that the policies were not incompetence.

According to Rep. Carlos Gimenez, R-Fla., Customs and Border Patrol agents advised Mayorkas to reverse his policies to stop the influx of migrants, but Mayorkas ignored the advice.

According to Scott, he and his team were no longer solicited for input when Mayorkas got into office. The only agenda was to expedite processing and allow more migrants to enter the U.S.

Before Mayorkas, Scott’s team was asked for input on what works and what doesn’t work and how to improve it. However, things changed when Mayorkas took office. No input was requested from Scott’s team, and when they opted to give unsolicited advice, it was ignored.

Mayorkas wanted nothing else other than letting more migrants into the U.S., Scott stated. Scott served as Border Patrol head under President Trump and President Biden, from January 2020 to August 2021.

During the Wednesday hearing, Chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee Rep. Mark Green, R-Tenn., outlined his allegations against Mayorkas in an earlier press briefing. The Republicans had invited former acting DHS Secretary Chad Wolf and former acting director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services to provide testimony.

Green accused Mayorkas of violating or subverting at least 10 laws passed by Congress. He also disregarded court orders, causing harm to the United States. Mayorkas’ dereliction of duty is a blatant violation of the United States Constitution.

Although some Republicans are pushing for Mayorkas’ impeachment, Green has chosen to put it on hold for now. Rather, he decided to focus on obtaining informative testimony about Mayorkas’ job performance as secretary.

The migrant encounters at the Mexico-U.S. border have surged since Mayorkas and President Biden took office. U.S. Border Control reported 100,000 monthly encounters in Biden’s first full month in office, a figure that has expanded rapidly. From late 2022 to early 2023, there have been over 230,000 migrant encounters. Reports as of now are at over 200,000 per month.

On Wednesday, former Border Patrol Chief Rodney Scott testified that Secretary Mayorkas’ primary goal was to let more migrants enter the United States illegally. Scott testified in front of the House Homeland Security Committee during a hearing that was focused on Mayorkas’s alleged ‘dereliction of duty.’ According to Scott, Mayorkas knew the impact his policies would have.

Scott told Rep. Carlos Gimenez, R-Fla., that Customs and Border Patrol agents advised Mayorkas to reverse his policies to stop the influx of migrants, but Mayorkas disregarded their advice. The team’s input was no longer solicited after Mayorkas took office, according to Scott. All that mattered was processing and letting migrants into the U.S. with ease.

At the same hearing, which focused on Mayorkas’s alleged ‘dereliction of duty,’ Scott testified that Mayorkas knew the impact of his policies.

Customs and Border Patrol agents advised Mayorkas to reverse his policies to stop the influx of migrants, but Mayorkas ignored the advice, as Rep. Carlos Gimenez, R-Fla., pointed out. There was no more input solicited from Scott and his team after Mayorkas took office. Instead, Mayorkas’ priority was processing and letting migrants into the United States.

Green outlined his allegations against Mayorkas at the beginning of Wednesday’s hearing and called on former acting DHS Secretary Chad Wolf and former acting director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Joe Edlow to testify.

He claimed that Mayorkas had violated or subverted at least 10 laws passed by the United States Congress, ignored multiple court orders, and ignored Section 307 of the Immigration and Nationality Act’s requirement for security reasons.

Green stated that Mayorkas’ dereliction of duty, which disregarded the constitutional rights of the United States, is just one example of the destruction wreaked by him.

Green has put the brakes on calls for Mayorkas’ impeachment for the time being. Instead, he focused on obtaining factual information and testimony about Mayorkas’ performance as secretary.
