Goya Foods CEO, Robert Unanue, is under fire again, he said former President Donald Trump was “the real, the legitimate, and the still actual president of the United States” at CPAC 2021 in Florida.
He followed up by saying, “I’ve already been canceled. You can’t do it again. No way. Obviously, I think as many people I know and maybe many of you, unsolicited ballots. So I mean, as a citizen of the United States, I think I’m allowed to vote once, once. Not twice or three times or 10 times.”
Liberals on Twitter took offense and called for yet another #BoycottGoya movement.
CBS News reported over a dozen Latino advocacy groups released a joint statement.
They said, “What he most clearly should not be entitled to be the platform his role at Goya Foods provides to attack our democracy — the belief and faith in free and fair elections, which has been the bedrock of our union and national success. It is a slap in the face to those millions of voters and customers to insist, in spite of overwhelming evidence to the contrary, that they were complicit in a grand electoral fraud.”
The first time Unanue got into hot water was due to him being grateful for Trump signing the White House Hispanic Prosperity Initiative executive order in July 2020.
He said the country was truly “blessed” to have a leader like Trump.
