Knife attack in Glasgow contributes to escalating gang feud

A relative of Steven ‘Bonzo’ Daniel, known as Jamie ‘Grinch’ Daniel, has suffered a knife wound to the neck in what is suspected to be the most recent event in a running feud among criminal groups. Jamie was reportedly assaulted on a street near his home in an act of violence specifically directed at him. This worrying incident in Milton, Glasgow, arrived only a matter of days after adversaries set fire to the properties of matriarch Annette and Uncle Norman, both closely related to Steven, the head of a notorious crime family, in the Bishopbriggs district not far from the site.

An insider reported that the assailants yelled profanities at the victim, indicating that their assault was intended as retribution against his family members. The hostility was clearly targeted and unabashedly brutal in nature, with the attackers successfully landing a blow to Jamie’s neck. Reports from the scene insinuate that law enforcement were eager to have him relocated as soon as his identity was confirmed and the extent of the episode was uncovered. The situation in the area is incredibly tense and seems on the brink of violent eruption.

Over recent times, crime authorities have apprehended and charged 20 individuals related to a spate of shootings and arson attacks in Greater Glasgow and Edinburgh, including a minor aged just 16, who stands accused of involvement in five attempted homicides. It’s worth noting that the latest attack on Jamie, alleged to have taken place a week ago, wasn’t officially reported to the police.

Disturbingly, this is the second occasion in the past eight years when Jamie has been the target of a knife attack. Back in June 2017, he was left with serious wounds after two unidentified assailants broke into his home and attacked him with a knife.

If the word on the street is anything to go by, members of the Daniel family and their associated gangs are being targeted by a newly-emerged group overseen by a figure known to them as ‘Miami’, who allegedly operates out of Dubai. However, law enforcement could not confirm any reports regarding the recent criminal incident involving Jamie.

Meanwhile, complications continue to arise. Law enforcement agents are currently contending with child exploitation by these criminal groups. Their recruitment methods revolve around baiting youngsters with prospects of wealth and a life of indulgences, as revealed by a leading police officer.

Detective Chief Superintendent David Ferry stressed the importance of early intervention to prevent these antagonistic crime syndicates from using young individuals in their violent operations. He encouraged families to maintain alertness after charges related to gang violence were levied against a substantial number of people, including a 16-year-old boy who now faces five counts of attempted murder.

Furthermore, Ferry confirmed that the ongoing operation to diminish this wave of gang-related violence is one of the most significant of its kind in the country. As this continues, the force is expanding its raids on potential adversaries, marking a crucial step forward in their attempt to quell the growing tension.
