Kamala Harris’ Dramatic PR Stunt: Anything But Heroic

Kamala Harris, who surprisingly made it as the first female Vice President of the United States, is once again back in Los Angeles, leaving the more prestigious walls of the White House behind. While some might laud this seemingly ‘historic’ moment, dissenting voices are quick to question the merits and efficacy of her tenure.

In a move that many consider a well-staged public relations stunt, Harris decided to pay a visit to a fire station on her return. Amid crossing over the forceful elements, she handed out food supplies to victims. This was her first reappearance in her native state since the deadly fires escalated on January 7.

One would think Harris’s return would resonate with an air of heroic entrance, displaying a reputed public figure’s concern. Yet, there’s a tinge of irony surrounding her ostentatious Brentwood mansion, conveniently located at the heart of the area undergoing evacuation.

Interestingly enough, it was predicted that her massive estate would not escape the widespread destruction. But this seem more like an afterthought to Harris who shockingly delayed her return. Her reasons, articulated through her aides, were never convincing to the populace.

The scene got more complicated, as a suspicious burglary attempt was claimed to have occurred at the Harris residence in the middle of the enduring inferno. More curiosity arose when the accused individuals were released shortly afterwards, due to the lack of any substantial proof. This indeed raises several questions about purported burglary attempts and how quickly they were dismissed.

Quite noticeably, this is the first time in twenty years that Kamala Harris has seemingly receded from public life. Her earlier roles, which included stints as California Senator from 2017 to 2021, seemed to only set the stage for her dubious political journey.

Prior to her Senator role, Harris held the mantle of California’s Attorney General from 2011 to 2017. And if we rewind even further, records shows Harris played the District Attorney of San Francisco from 2004 to 2011. One can spot the conspicuous pattern of her political trajectory that has seemingly enabled her current position.

The non-exhaustive list of Harris’ political roles doesn’t end there as her aides have hinted at her potential bid for the California governorship in 2026. Some may view this as a demonstration of her ambitious political pursuit, while others see it as a persistent form of unattainable desire.

Although Harris has been relegated from her Vice Presidential responsibilities, she continues to drop hints about her ongoing political aspirations. She seems not to be the kind who ‘goes quietly into the night,’ at least as per her own proclamation.

In an event that took place on January 17th, Harris addressed a gathering, signing off her Vice-Presidential duties with a dismissal quite exemplary of her character. ‘It is not my nature to go quietly into the night’, Harris announced with a sense of visible defiance.

Despite the ostentation expressed by Kamala Harris on her outgoing session, it is noteworthy that her political career shares its highs and lows, casting a shadow over her intended political proclamations.

Her commitment to continue the political play, after what many would consider a questionable tenure as Vice President, certainly raises eyebrows about the sincerity of her intentions.

After Trump assumed office at his inauguration, Harris was prompted to make her exit, journeying to Joint Base Andrews to board her last official flight back to California. As the journey draws to a close, one can only wonder what political maneuver she might engage in next.

While Harris navigates her way through political streams, it remains crucial to maintain a broader perspective, considering her past roles, actions, and their impact on the population. While her ambition may be applauded by some, the question of whether her leadership has truly been effective and beneficial continues to linger.
