Kamala Claimed That COVID Has Killed More Than Half Of The Country

As you may have guessed, Kamala Harris has a long and troubled history of citing false statistics.

One instance that sticks out in particular, occurred during October of 2020. The new Vice President claimed that 220 million Americans have died from COVID-19

220 million Americans are roughly 64% of the United States population with roughly 350 million people in its inhabitance. This would mean that more than half the country was wiped out, which obviously isn’t true.

Such a misleading statement is both memorable, and disastrous to discourse. Whether we like it or not, Kamala Harris is considered a credible person due to her position in office. Due to this fact, some Americans will believe the words she speaks without further research.

It’s likely that some members of the public were convinced that 220 million Americans really did die in just a few short months without realizing that this number is half the U.S. population.

To make matters worse, she didn’t just make this claim once, it happened on numerous occasions. Never did the Vice President issue a correction or apology to those that she misled.

similarly, Joe Biden in February of this year asserted that the virus had killed more people than World War 1, World War 2, and Vietnam combined.

40 million individuals perished during World War 1 alone, coupled with a whopping 70-80 million during the Second World War and more than 3 million total casualties during Vietnam.

This makes for roughly 123,000,000 total lost lives compared to the 4 million total lost lives from COVID-19. The 4 million figure is a current number illustrating that even nearly one year later, the numbers aren’t even close.
