Joy Reid Compares Republicans To Al Qaeda, Claims They’re ‘Pro-Rape’

MSNBC host Joy Reid compared Republican voters to al Qaeda and claimed Republicans are “pro-rape” in a series of tweets Tuesday.

In response to another Twitter user, Reid tweeted that Republicans “vote like al-Qaida fights: with a patient, long-term goal of seizing power and forcing the libertine culture to heel under the boot; no matter how many elections it takes”.

“Many Democrats get frustrated after every setback and give up on voting without much of a fight,” she added.

Reid had previously said Democrats are in the minority because “their younger, multiracial base largely sits out midterm and state elections while Republicans, who are overwhelmingly white, rural and far right Christian vote every time”.

In another tweet, Reid claimed “if Democrats were anything like Republicans, they’d long ago have begun calling them the pro-rape, pro child marriage party and accusing them of forcing women to be child-birthing slaves of the state, while banning the teaching of what slavery is to keep the chattel docile”.

She went on to say that “America will look a lot more like Russia or Hungary or even Afghanistan … because Republicans are aggressive in their pursuit of social and political control, while just about everyone else is pretty disengaged”.

Reid has repeatedly been called out for her extreme views. She recently said Republicans who vote against Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson are on “the Dixiecrat side of history”.

She also claimed Ukraine is receiving the world’s support because it’s “White and largely Christian” and said Republicans want a “White Christian autocracy”.
