Jimmy Kimmel: Libs ‘Attacking Comedians’ Over Jokes Is A ‘Big Reason’ Trump Is President

Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, long known for his liberal leanings, is now admitting what many conservatives have argued for years: the Left’s relentless war on comedy has backfired—and helped put Donald Trump back in the White House.

In a recent interview, Kimmel expressed frustration with his own political allies for attacking comedians over jokes and creating a culture of outrage that, in his words, “manufactures anger” and fuels public resentment.

“I think a lot of the outrage is completely manufactured,” Kimmel said. “A lot of these people who are angry aren’t really angry. I think these liberals who’ve done such a good job of viciously attacking comedians are a big part of the reason why Trump is the president right now.”

It’s a surprising moment of honesty from Kimmel, who spent years using his platform to mock Trump and Republicans. But now, even he is acknowledging that the Left’s obsession with political correctness, cancel culture, and moral purity—especially in the realm of comedy—has pushed everyday Americans to the breaking point.

Kimmel lamented the fact that comedians are routinely targeted for their jokes and forced to apologize under pressure from online mobs and activist media. “Comedy is subjective,” he said. “You don’t have to laugh, but you also don’t have to try to ruin someone’s life over it.”

Reflecting on Trump’s overwhelming cultural presence, Kimmel admitted that the 45th president’s larger-than-life status gave him an edge in the political arena. “He is a celebrity. He is a star. He is the most famous person in the world. And it’s hard to compete with that.”

Trump’s return to the White House in 2024 wasn’t just a political event—it was a cultural revolt. Millions of Americans, fed up with being lectured, shamed, and silenced, rejected the Left’s grip on the culture and put a man back in office who promised to fight back against the very institutions trying to cancel them.

Kimmel’s comments serve as a rare wake-up call from within liberal media circles: the progressive movement’s crackdown on comedy, speech, and basic free expression didn’t create a better society—it created the political backlash that brought Trump roaring back to power.

And if the Left doesn’t learn that lesson soon, they may have no one to blame for what comes next but themselves.
