Veteran Democratic strategist James Carville has openly criticized former President Joe Biden’s recent actions, asserting that Biden is solely responsible for the decline in his public standing. In a candid discussion on the “Politics War Room” podcast with co-host Al Hunt, Carville suggested that Biden should retire from public life, stating, “Just go to your condo in Rehoboth and stay there.”
Carville emphasized that the public’s waning interest in hearing from Biden is a consequence of the former president’s own decisions. He remarked, “What he’s done to himself is no one wants to hear from this guy anymore. Okay, just go to your condo in Rehoboth and stay there. And that’s not because we’re bad people or we’re mean people. It was all his doing. All his doing, this entire thing.”
Addressing Biden’s claim that he could have defeated former President Donald Trump in the recent election had he remained in the race, Carville was dismissive: “No one f***ing believes that at all!”
He further highlighted internal conflicts, mentioning disputes between Biden, First Lady Jill Biden, and filmmaker Alexandra Pelosi. Carville concluded, “Look, guy — you had a noble career. Your last act was terrible. Just get out of the way. The party’s moving on. I mean, they’re really moving on, and it’s very sad, but that’s just where we are. And he created this himself. He has nobody to blame but himself. Nobody.”
Co-host Al Hunt concurred, suggesting that Biden no longer has a role in national discourse and would be better off focusing on personal endeavors, such as establishing a presidential library. Carville agreed, adding that any continued involvement in public politics by Biden would likely be detrimental.
These remarks underscore a growing sentiment within some Democratic circles that the party should move forward without Biden at the forefront, especially in light of recent political challenges and shifting public opinion.
Wow, James Carville did not hold back on Joe Biden: “What he’s done to himself is no one wants to hear from this guy anymore. Just go to your condo in Rehoboth and stay there.”
