Introduction of Bill That Blocks Funding to States Who Grant Licenses to Illegals

It is shocking that there is any states at all that offer a drivers license to illegal immigrants in the first place. State governments openly acknowledge that the person is not a US citizen, and are here illegal but still grant them privilege’s that are typically reserved to citizens with some exceptions.

A coalition of Republican lawmakers this week introduced legislation that would block funding to sanctuary states that give driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants — the latest indicator of a significant gap between Republicans and the Biden administration on illegal immigration.

Sens. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn, Tom Cotton, R-Ark., Ted Cruz, R-Texas, Joni Ernest, R-Iowa, Steve Sained, R-Mont., Jim Inhofe, R-Okla., and Mike Braun, R-Ind. Introduced the “Stop Greenlighting Driver Licenses for Illegal Immigrants Act” which would end some Justice Department funding to states that have “sanctuary” policies.

This may be an effective measure in combating Joe Biden’s executive actions that incentivize states to open sanctuary cities.

During his first week Biden overturned Trump’s efforts to exclude illegals from the Census. The Census determines congressional seats, electoral votes, and distribution of federal funding.

If illegals are to be included in the Census states will have a legitimate incentive to harbor more illegals due to the fact that it will bring the state more political power.
