Hypocrisy in Release: Harris Twists Her Policies in Recent Interview

In an aired interview on Monday, Vice President Kamala Harris emerged, oddly reversing her stances on topics such as fracking, and arrogantly castigated former President Donald Trump for not participating in a discussion with the show. Harris’s twisted justifications for these sudden transformations on crucial subjects like a fracking ban and Medicare for All, came with a quixotic tale of her learning from Americans on her vice presidential trips. ‘The American people are in need of leaders who can construct a consensus, find a compromise that doesn’t devalue their principles, and provide logical answers,’ Harris chatted away, offering a rosy but eerily insincere image of her style of governance.

The Vice President then faced the daunting task of answering doubt-related questions about her allegations that Trump was a divisive force. When the host raised an eyebrow on the fact that Trump commands the support of millions of Americans, Harris seemed all too delighted to disregard the backbone of her country by spouting, ‘I appreciate your highlighting his remarks resulting in most people denouncing them- it’s simply not right.’ Harris, apparently oblivious, ignored the fact that a large section of the society she represents supports Trump, who she was quick to label as discriminatory.

Harris chose not to critique her fellow Americans intending to vote for Trump and in yet another questionable statement, mentioned, ‘Americans are yearning for leaders who bring people together rather than instigate chaos.’ She played a sweet melody, insinuating that the true leadership strength lies not in ‘who you overpower, but in who you uplift.’ Such rhetoric, however, had a hollow echo and seemed more designed for impression than actual substance.

Harris, capitalizing on the concerns of people swirling around the economy, surprisingly declared that reducing exorbitant grocery prices would be her primary task if she emerges victorious in the election. She has proposed tax cuts for new parents, first-time homeowners, and budding entrepreneurs – all of which may raise some eyebrows as to the feasibility of such sweeping changes.

To fund these grandiose plans, Harris plans to increase the tax burden on corporations, a move which mandates a Congressional statute, and hike up the taxes on capital gains for the more affluent Americans. Yet again, the process seems questionable, and the answers given by Harris were shrouded in vague political-speak leaving more questions than answers.

During the course of the interview, Harris pushed Congress to sanction unbiased immigration reform legislation. The Vice President conveniently overlooked the significant reduction in unauthorized border crossings since stricter asylum policies were enacted. Perhaps a selective recall based on political convenience.

Harris deviated when queried if the reigning administration possesses any ‘influence’ over the Israeli Prime Minister, instead, merely reasserting that the U.S. considers Israel a noteworthy ally. ‘Our diplomatic endeavors with Israel’s leadership are a continuous journey to convey our principles clearly,’ stuck to her scripted remarks. ‘Israel has the right to self-defense, but it’s essential how that right is pursued. Many innocent Palestinians have been the collateral victims. This war must cease.’

The Democratic nominee proclaimed that she would not concur to a meeting with the Russian President Putin to broach the cessation of the ongoing war in Ukraine without Ukrainian representation. ‘Not without Ukraine’s participation, no. Ukraine has the right to define its own future,’ she quipped hastily.

Harris evaded the question of whether she would endorse Ukraine’s entrance into NATO, though member nations recently affirmed a language that posited Ukraine’s path to membership as ‘irreversible’. ‘Those are all elements that we’ll handle when the time is appropriate,’ Harris deflected skillfully. ‘Presently, our focus is on boosting Ukraine’s defense capability against Russia’s unprovoked hostility.’
