Harris Camp Angry At Biden For Not Thinking Of Campaign Before Praising DeSantis

Kamala Harris & Joe Biden

Just a few weeks away from Election Day, fissures have started to emerge within the campaign unit of Vice President Kamala Harris and the Biden administration. The root cause of this disagreement appears to lie in certain decisions and actions related to President Joe Biden’s discourse with Florida’s Republican Governor, Ron DeSantis, amidst two severe hurricanes.

A primary bone of contention arose from President Biden’s commendatory interaction with Governor DeSantis, especially during a time of heightened political activity. It was voiced by an insider from the Harris campaign that there seems to be an absence of ample consideration for campaign outcomes within the White House’s decision making process.

The story begins to unfold in the previous week, where Vice President Harris had made an effort to show support during the hurricane relief operations. Her criticisms of Governor DeSantis, for allegedly ignoring her attempts at communication, however, became a significant talking point.

Vice President Harris had publicly criticized DeSantis, deeming him as neglectful and self-concerned, despite the recent hit by a natural disaster in his state. She argued this at a time when the Vice President wasn’t directly involved in the relief efforts which became a contentious issue.

Subsequent to this episode, not long after, President Biden found himself working alongside Governor DeSantis. During a public address, the president recounted his conversation, ‘Earlier tonight, I managed to touch base with Governor DeSantis and Tampa’s Mayor Castor. We discussed the current situation following the onslaught of Hurricane Helene, and the ongoing preparations for Hurricane Milton.’

President Biden further emphasized the administration’s readiness in lending a hand to the Florida leaders, and the Floridian citizens, should they need more resources. ‘The administration stands prepared to provide any additional resources that may be required’, the president confirmed.

DeSantis later refuted Vice President Harris’ claim surrounding an unreturned call, stating his lack of prior interactions with her, and her absence in the state’s disaster mitigation efforts. He was clear about Harris’ non-involvement, mentioning she was not part of the decision-making chain in this context.

The day after the President’s broadcast, Vice President Harris was featured on a television show. In a different event, President Biden mentioned his collaborative endeavors with Governor DeSantis for hurricane relief.

‘The governor of Florida has been highly collaborative,’ regarding the hurricane relief work, quoted President Biden. He continued to laud Governor DeSantis. ‘In our conversation yesterday, I complimented his impressive work. All necessary actions are being taken care of, and we are grateful for his leadership.’

President Biden also reflected upon Vice President Harris’ role in policy decision-making. ‘We are always in communication. She keeps herself informed of our steps, and essentially, we’re all working from a common plan. She has significantly contributed to the formulation of laws that are currently coming into effect,’ he shared.

Despite these words, it wasn’t long before tensions between Harris and Biden’s campaigns started to surface, following some speculation regarding potential changes in the party nominee.

This exposed a growing disparity within the party, indicating certain friction possibly stemming from mixed sentiments inside the party corridors or strategy differences about the pathway to electoral victory.

In conclusion, the political landscape is changing as the elections approach. As it often happens, the path to Election Day may not be straight or smooth. As demonstrated in this story, party dynamics often shift and alliances adjust, surprising observers and re-shaping scenarios.
