Elvis Tzintzun, a 35-year-old man, tragically lost his life after a severe stabbing incident in the area of Port Richmond on the day of November 6, 2024. Following the incident, Tzintzun bravely battled his injuries but eventually lost the fight, as confirmed by a representative from the New York Police Department (NYPD). The eerie quiet of the noontime on Maple Avenue, nestled between Grove Avenue and Richmond Terrace, was shattered when Tzintzun was discovered bearing multiple stab wounds.
Law enforcement authorities are working tirelessly to locate the unidentified person accused of the lethal assault. It’s surmised by the NYPD that an altercation ensued between Tzintzun and this unidentified person before the tragic outcome. The individual used an object, still unidentified, to inflict multiple stab wounds on Tzintzun. Having committed the crime, the unknown figure vanished from the crime scene.
Emergency services were immediately alerted and arrived on the scene where they proceeded to transport Tzintzun to the Richmond University Medical Center based in West Brighton. Upon arrival, his condition was immediately categorized as critical. Authorities have now released a photograph of a person of interest who they are keen on interrogating regarding the incident.

After this initial stint in California, Tzintzun relocated to New York City with his father and brother. His upbringing was largely influenced by his brother, with the elder Tzintzun shouldering the responsibilities of caregiving while still attending classes at New Dorp High School. Meanwhile, young Elvis spent his time with the school staff at the same institution, marking the beginning of his educational journey in NYC.
Elvis then continued to explore his academic interests at PS 19 and I.S. 51, both part of Staten Island’s educational institutions. However, a turn of events in 2008 led to the arrest of Tzintzun which subsequently led to his deportation back to Mexico. Despite the set back, Tzintzun managed to return to the United States in 2019.
Over the course of life, Tzintzun held various occupations, experiencing diverse work environments ranging from the hustle-bustle of bakeries to the rigors of construction sites. Even though he didn’t anchor himself to a specific career path, his versatility shone through. Above all, Tzintzun was endowed with a unique artistic talent, reflecting in his profound ability to draw.
Beyond his drawing skills, Tzintzun is fondly remembered for his impassioned rapping, but his creative pursuits were secondary to his life-long role as a loving husband and doting father. In the face of this irreparable loss, Tzintzun’s loved ones, aided by the community, have organized a GoFundMe campaign aimed at raising the necessary funds to manage the ensuing funeral and memorial costs.
