Georgia Republicans Don’t Want Woke Coke

Some of Georgia’s Republican state representatives are advocating for the removal of Coca-Cola from their offices due to the company’s criticism of the state’s new voter ID laws.

They sent and signed a letter to the President and CEO of the Georgia Beverage Association, Kevin Perry.

Part of the letter said, “Given Coca-Cola’s choice to cave to the pressure of an out of control cancel culture, we respectfully requisition all Coca-Cola Co. products to be removed from our office suite immediately.”

The letter also said the company was engaging in spreading false information on what the new law actually does.

“Your company has made the conscious decision to perpetuate a national dialogue which seeks to intentionally mislead the citizens of Georgia and deepen a divide in our great State,” it said.

The eight Republican signatories are representatives: Victor Anderson, Clint Crowe, Matt Barton, Jason Ridley, Lauren McDonald III, Stan Gunter, Dewayne Hill, and Marcus Wiedower.
