Florida’s democrat representatives have dubbed the state’s new congressional map a GOP “black attack”. Those on the liberal side of the aisle demanded that the republicans “stop the black attack”.
In protest of the new map’s approval, democrats staged a sit-in temporarily disrupting the process and causing a recess.
The demonstration apparently started just after state Rep. Yvonne Hinson exceeded her allocated speaking time was cut off.
Fox News reported, that State Rep. Angie Nixon then made her way to the center of the chamber wielding a sign and sporting a T-shirt under her jacket that read “Stop the Black attack.” Several other members joined her, including state Rep. Dotie Joseph, who led the group in a prayer suggesting Republicans are being influenced by “the adversary.”
Nixon asserted, “Right now, we’ve lined up all of the works of the adversary, all of the works of the adversary, seeking to divide us, seeking to distract us with a culture war – We refocused us on your two highest and greatest commandments: that we would love you and that we would love each other, and that people would know you by our works and how we treat one another.”
Oddly enough Democrats are always quick to accuse Republicans of “Impeding the democratic process” or of being a “threat to the democratic system”. In most instances where democracy is successfully impeding Democrats seem to be at the helm of the disruption.
In protest of Texas legislation pertaining to voting laws, Democrat legislators decided to take a hiatus of their duties and flee to Washington. The elected public servants willfully took action to stall a democratic vote and an entire wing of the government.
