After advising that Americans should stay indoors and avoid contact with others, Dr. Anthony Fauci made dinner plans with friends.
In May of 2020, Fauci was invited to an outdoor dinner with personal friends via email. Fauci promptly accepted. These emails have since been released to the public under the free information act.
“You are a national–international–treasure. And we are depending on your sanity and smarts. We can have you and (redacted) over for dinner on the porch and order in from (redacted) or something. Anytime you are ready,” wrote Dr. Ezekiel Emmanuel in an email to Fauci.
“Let us try to do this next weekend,” he responded.
We have seen similar behavior from several democratic politicians such as Nancy Pelosi, Andrew Cuomo, Gavin Newsom, Gretchen Whitmer and others, and now Fauci himself. Their doctrine is “do as I say, but not as I do”.
The stay at home order in Washington DC only allowed residents to leave their homes only for “essential activities”. It’s unlikely that Fauci’s dinner party would be considered “essential”.
Fauci also expressed his views on masks through email.
He explained that masks are ineffective in protecting “uninfected people from acquiring infection.” He noted, that he does not recommend mask wearing to the person he was emailing.
