The mishap unfolded just shortly after they had taken off from a small island in the territory of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, dogged by reports stating that their plane ‘dove into the sea’ shortly after the departure.

The single-engine aircraft that spiraled into disaster was owned and operated by Robert Sachs. The ill-fated aircraft, after an initial takeoff from the J.F. Mitchell Airport in Paget Farm, was supposed to reach St. Lucia as its scheduled final stop. Authorities subsequently disclosed the identities of the victims, mapping intense sorrow and shock through the community. Along with Robert Sachs, other lives claimed by the catastrophic plane crash were passengers Christian Klepser and his two precious daughters, Madita, age 10, and Annik, age 12.

The recovery operation, led by the Coast Guard units, managed to retrieve the four unfortunate victims from the wreckage amid the ocean. A healthcare professional, later on, confirmed that all the recovered individuals onboard had been declared deceased at the sight of the tragic incident.
