Elon Musk has hinted at supporting Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for President in 2024. At this time it’s unclear if the governor will even run for President, though many believe that it’s likely.
Elon has recently been very vocal about his decision to start voting Republican over Democrat. “I might never have voted for a Republican, just to be clear – Now this election, I will. This is not some right-wing take over,” he said.
The Daily Caller reported Musk cast his vote for a Republican candidate for the first time by voting for Texas Representative-elect Mayra Flores in a special election Tuesday. Tesla Owners Silicon Valley asked Musk via Twitter if he intends to vote Republican in the next presidential election.
When asked where musk was leaning, he simply answered “DeSantis” who became an icon for the Republican Party after Donald Trump was voted out of office.
Elon has also become a renowned figure for conservatives, as he continuously fights for free speech. He went as far as to sink billions into buying Twitter simply so that its users could practice free speech and have true political discourse.
Musk says that Twitter has become the “de facto” town square and that preserving free speech online or offline is paramount for a functioning Democracy.
