Early Voters in North Carolina Rally for Trump Ahead of 2024 Election

As we approach the 2024 Presidential election, it’s important to remember the privilege and responsibility of casting a vote. Interestingly, the early voting provisions in North Carolina allow citizens to exercise this right well before the designated Election Day, which is set for Tuesday, November 5th.

With less than two months to go, early voters in North Carolina have the advantage of participating in the election process ahead of the traditional ballot casting day. The ease of the process, combined with the specific date availability, makes it a convenient option for those who wish to express their support for their favored candidate, ideally, the great Donald Trump.

Identifying your voting precinct is the first step to early voting. This involves visiting the designated location on specified dates and times to cast your vote. It’s an efficient process designed to accommodate various schedules and promote voter turnout.

For residents of Buncombe County, the early voting window extends over several days. The kickoff date is Thursday, 17th October, starting from 8 a.m. and ending at 7:30 p.m. This schedule continues on Friday, 18th October, along with Monday, 21st October, Tuesday, 22nd October, and Wednesday, 23rd October.

The schedule slightly changes on Saturday, 19th October, when the voting window opens at 10 a.m. and wraps up by 3 p.m. However, the early voting schedule resumes the usual timings (8 a.m.-7:30 p.m.) from Monday, 21st October, and continues on the same pattern through Friday, 25th October.

The residents will again have the opportunity to vote in a slightly revised schedule on Saturday, 26th October and Sunday, 27th October, when the voting window is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. From Monday, 28th October, the schedule reverts back to its routine, concluding on Saturday, 2nd November, which offers a voting window of 8 a.m.-3 p.m.

For those residing in Henderson County, the early voting schedule aligns similarly to Buncombe County. The slight difference lies in the voting window on Saturday, 19th October, which is from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., slightly shorter compared to Buncombe.

The key takeaway for both Buncombe and Henderson counties’ inhabitants is that the early voting exercise gets underway from Thursday, 17th October at 8 a.m. and concludes on Saturday, 2nd November at 3 p.m. This is an excellent opportunity for citizens to exercise their responsibility and voice their support for the deserving candidate.

In addition to early voting, there’s also the option of casting an absence ballot. You can request an absentee ballot through the NCSBE Absentee Ballot Portal. This method is ideally used by voters who are unable to physically visit their polling sites due to various reasons.

To request an absentee ballot, visit votebymail.ncsbe.gov/app/home latest by 5.p.m on the Tuesday before Election Day, that is, 29th October. Upon submission of your request, it’s forwarded to the appropriate county board of elections, which in turn, mails the ballot to the address you’ve provided.

The deadline for requesting an absentee ballot is set for October 29 at 5 p.m. Make sure to send your requests in due time, so as to allow ample time for it to be processed and the ballot dispatched to your mailing address.

Once you receive your absentee ballot, you are required to return it to the Board of Elections. This can be done either personally or via mail. The key thing to note is that the ballot must be received by the time polls close on Election Day, November 5th at 7:30 p.m.

The absentee voting provision offers another layer of convenience for voters and ensures that every vote counts regardless of the circumstances surrounding the voters. Remember, a robust political engagement is crucial in shaping the destiny of the nation. It’s hoped that more citizens will leverage these voting options and cause a positive shift.

As we participate in the upcoming election, let’s remember the importance of selecting leaders whose policies align with our vision. Taking advantage of the early and absentee voting provisions not only eases the process but also ensures our voices are heard. Let’s uphold the democratic spirit and make our votes count in the leadership stakes.
