Are the Democrats actually touting this as their next big thing? A lady who openly mocks her own state governor for needing a wheelchair? The name in question is Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett, and she clocks in at a surprising 43 years old. Her overall demeanor and speech is so childishly crude that one could easily mistake her for a much younger individual.
Crockett’s newest comedic venture targeted Texas Governor Greg Abbott, a man who was paralyzed in a tragic accident over four decades ago. ‘Governor Hot Wheels,’ the Congresswoman fondly referred him to, a title which was met with outrageous applause from the audience.
But unfortunately, Crockett didn’t leave it at that. Webbing her basic insult into a poorly-executed joke, she claimed that the ‘only hot thing about Abbott is his hot mess persona’. So, this is the quality of comedy we’re getting from a pastor’s daughter, evidently.
The saddest part about all of this is some Democrats are looking at Crockett as their future, almost idolizing her. What does that say about the party in general? Where are the seniors to nip this in the bud? Where are those who should be taking responsibility? Where are the liberal media figures like Rachel Maddow?
If this is indicative of anything, it’s the internal decay that’s happening in the party. The Democratic party is morally lost and not one member, even from the older generation, has stood up to address the issue. It is a sad state of affairs when the loudest are the ones who lack basic respect and decency.
John Fetterman is the only Democrat that holds some respect, but look at his rewards. He championed for Israel after 10/7, only to be scorned. He warned his fellow party members about their slow erosion, only to be ignored. There’s a level of hypocrisy here that is hard to ignore.
The elites are not fooling anyone; the people see right through them and their narcissism. This played a role in Trump’s victory. Go ask Barack Obama, who had to adopt street lingo to chide black male voters for lacking support for Kamala Harris. This, ironically, came from a man whose wife was an ideal potential candidate for the party.
But no, the Democrats got Kamala Harris and Jasmine Crockett as their choices. Harris herself isn’t the most sincere either, often deviating from her Californian accent in a way that is difficult to ignore. ‘Let’s just get through the next sixty-fow days,’ she said during a campaign. Really, Kamala?
Remember Kamala’s futile imitation of Bob Marley on Stephen Colbert’s show, just before her defeat? ‘Have you no empathy, mon?’ she asked. It seems the Democrats are more focused on gimmicks than actual policies.
Souvenir of Joe Biden from the last election is another great instance of this lack of self-awareness. Biden said to Charlemagne in a 2020 interview, ‘If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.’ Seems like self-awareness doesn’t have a place in the modern Democratic party.
Adding salt to the wound is Jasmine Crockett again, a privileged, private-school educated lawyer and congresswoman pretending to blend in with the ordinary people. She made the profound statement this month that entering the country illegally is not a crime. A dead giveaway that most Democrats lack an understanding of the language and laws they are supposed to uphold.
Crockett praised Kamala’s ‘flawless’ campaign and made an offensive assertion that Hispanics voting for Trump are of a ‘slave mentality.’ It’s troubling she sees the act of voting for what she perceives as the wrong candidate as akin to a ‘slave mentality.’ Democracy seems to be a one-way street for some.
She has also thrown unfounded insults at congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, referring to her with derogatory and body-shaming terms. But this is just one example of Crockett’s humor that’s more suited to a distasteful reality TV show than a congress chamber.
Is this attempt at comedy or this verbal assault what the Democrats are advertising now? Is this the trailblazing Jasmine Crockeet who was supposed to bring change and positivity? Her actions and words tell a far different story than what might have been promised.
Her dignity as a Congressional representative disappears when she descends to this level of ‘humor.’ Plainly speaking, her behavior is fit more for a schoolyard than the halls of Congress. Her remarks are clearly offensive, and the fact that she gets away with it without critique from her own party is even more concerning.
In essence, the Democrats’ dismissal of basic courtesy and respect for fellow politicians is worrying. The trying times have clearly demonstrated the lack of sincerity and self-awareness in the Democratic party. Jasmine Crockett is simply one of many examples of the downward spiral of party values.
