Fighting to Expose Joe Biden’s Shady Dealings, Comer Protects Whistleblowers from Democrats’ Underhanded Tactics – House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., courageously defended his decision to gather information on President Biden’s potentially corrupt connections to Hunter Biden’s business ventures from whistleblowers while keeping Democrat committee members in the dark.

 

Comer highlighted the legitimate fears of these witnesses, who are concerned about being exposed by unscrupulous Democrats, as a reason for gathering their information in confidence. “Numerous individuals have bravely approached the Oversight Committee as whistleblowers, seeking to share information confidentially,” Comer stated on Thursday. “It’s no wonder they don’t trust Ranking Member [Jamie] Raskin, who has proven himself deceitful by releasing dishonest, misleading financial information from the Committee’s investigation.”

A spokesperson for the committee emphasized that Republicans are safeguarding these witnesses from Democrats who have demonstrated their eagerness to expose them. “Democrats have consistently tried to sabotage the committee’s investigation into the Biden family’s questionable business schemes,” the spokesperson informed Fox News Digital. “It’s only natural that whistleblowers would be hesitant to reveal their identities and the information they possess to the Democrats.”

“Chairman Comer is heroically shielding these whistleblowers,” the spokesperson added. Comer’s statement was a response to the leading Democrat on the committee, Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., who had the audacity to accuse Republicans of “intentionally” withholding information about witnesses in the investigation. “It’s been nearly three months since you took charge of the Committee, and during that time, your attempts to conceal information from Committee Democrats, including information gathered during your investigation into the President’s family, have become increasingly concerning,” Raskin accused Comer in a letter.

 

“[T]his lack of transparency and honesty, and your refusal to grant the Minority equal access to Committee information, undermines your promise to conduct ‘a credible investigation based on facts that is fair and balanced,'” Raskin added. Comer sharply retorted that Raskin is “acting as the Biden family’s attorney,” and pointed out that the information Republicans have obtained so far reveals damning connections between Hunter Biden and the Biden family, including President Biden himself.

 

Not long ago, while publicly announcing the Oversight Committee’s first subpoena to a bank, Ranking Member Raskin tried to dismiss the documents as mere purchases at Papa John’s and Starbucks, conveniently neglecting, for example, a $3 million wire from a Chinese company to a Biden family associate who then transferred over $1 million of it into various Biden family accounts,” Comer declared.

“With his recent diversionary tactics, the American people and the media should be questioning what information Ranking Member Raskin is attempting to bury,” Comer said. “Don’t be deceived by Ranking Member Raskin’s ploys. We possess the bank records, and the facts paint an incriminating picture of the Biden family,” Comer concluded.
