CNN led itself to total destruction. After using their platform to witch hunt former President Donald Trump day in, day out, they no longer satisfy their watchers.
“Ratings from Neilsen Media Research reported Tuesday indicated that CNN lost 67% of its total viewers since January, when Donald Trump left the White House.”
During the primetime hours of 8:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. (EST), CNN lost around 65% of its total viewers since January. In the critical 25-54 age demographic, the network lost 71% of its viewers for both the day and primetime,” the Daily Caller reported.
All major news outlets that broadcast on cable have experienced a drop in viewership, but none as large as CNN’s. MSNBC comes in at a distant second place losing 49% of its total viewers and 63% of its viewers in the 25-54 age range.
Fox News retains its place on top with over 1,000,000 viewers during primetime on Sunday, May 23rd. Fox, unlike others, has only lost 12% of total viewers. This is the lowest drop of major networks. This shows that Fox, unlike CNN is able to build trust with its audience.
After the absence of Trump stories, and constant misleading information it’s no wonder 71% of viewers ditched CNN. CNN has also gotten itself into countless scandals. From anchor Chris Cuomo advising his brother Andrew Cuomo on his sexual harassment scandal to paying a far-left capitol rioter $35,000 for footage of the siege. If there’s one thing that CNN is good at, it’s setting itself up for failure.
