Cuomo was responding to a CNN article written about Trump’s apparent refusal to leave the White House after he lost the election. The reports originated from Maggie Haberman’s book.

Cuomo said, “Does this matter? Yes—in the pursuit of justice, which is happening aggressively by most accounts. However—do dems win more votes by chasing Trump or catering to hopes and fears of those who were disaffected/desperate enough to vote for him?”

Twitter grilled the youngest Cuomo brother, telling him that the disaffected voter “theory” had been debunked.

Cuomo didn’t take kindly, he insisted that it in fact was not a theory. He said on Twitter that Trump supporters wanted to stick it to the system and go against the norm.

“What are you talking about? It is not a theory…it is a reality I witnessed in countless intvs with voters who saw their vote as a rejection of the norm…who knew their guy was deeply flawed but he was their guy and a rejection of what they also saw as malignant in dc,” he said.

Other users insisted that republicans supported Trump due to his “xenophobic” and “racist” tones. Cuomo surprisingly defended the Trump supporters again.

Cuomo claimed that this may be the case for some Trump supporters, but it’s not the case for all of them.

He then made a surprisingly good point saying, “Yang says many of this nee supporters are former trump voters. Why didnt dems get them? Maybe because you demonize all who voted for him.”

Democrats have done exactly that, demonizing anyone who voted for Donald Trump. Why would former Trump supporters switch sides and vote for democrats who engage in these activities?

Virtually every opportunity possible has been used by democrats to demonize the former President and those who supported him.

On 9/11, just days after accusing Trump of being a threat to democracy, Joe Biden said that the attacks anniversary is not about the past, but rather about the future and dealing with threats to democracy in the current time.

Hillary Clinton shared almost identical sentiments. It seems that each was alluding to Trump and his supporters.
