Outspoken rapper Cardi B unleashed a fiery rant on social media Thursday, targeting Trump voters who criticized her reaction to Donald Trump’s decisive win over Vice President Kamala Harris. In a video recorded outside a store, the Grammy-winning artist and former Harris supporter didn’t hold back as she addressed her detractors.
“Aight, so listen, I’mma let you all know this right now, OK?” Cardi B began. “So, you know Trumpets, like, y’all won, I know you’re happy, whatever the f***, ain’t nobody acting like bitter losers.”
The rapper then issued a blunt warning to those taunting her online: “However, y’all need to leave me the f*** alone. Because I got one more f***ing cigarette in me before I start lighting your asses up. Aight?”
She ended her tirade with a dramatic flourish: “And that’s word to the mother f***ing United States of America! Yeah, yeah!”

Cardi B’s remarks come just a day after she controversially suggested that Trump voters deserve to be hit by hurricanes for re-electing the former president. Her inflammatory comments sparked backlash from conservatives on social media, who called her out for wishing harm on Americans simply because of their political choices.
The rapper, a vocal supporter of Kamala Harris, was visibly frustrated with the election outcome. In the lead-up to Election Day, Cardi B had campaigned actively for Harris, even attempting to rally support at a campaign event. However, her speech at the rally was criticized for its incoherence, adding to the rocky end of Harris’s campaign.
This isn’t the first time Cardi B has waded into political waters. During the 2020 election, she endorsed Joe Biden in an interview with Elle magazine, pushing him on issues like free health insurance and college tuition. However, her stance on Biden seemed to shift last year when she aligned with other left-wing celebrities calling for him to step aside.
Cardi B’s latest rant is a continuation of her polarizing approach to political commentary, and it highlights the ongoing divide between her outspoken fanbase and Trump’s supporters. As the dust settles from the 2024 election, it remains to be seen whether her bold statements will help or hurt her image in the eyes of the public.
