Legal experts suggested on Wednesday that the Sixth Amendment rights of former President Trump may have been breached. This is due to  New York County District Attorney Alvin Bragg failing to reveal the underlying crime Trump allegedly tried to conceal through falsification of business records.

The Sixth Amendment guarantees a criminal defendant the right to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation, to confront witnesses against them, and to have a compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in their favor.

When asked by a reporter about the underlying crime not mentioned in the indictment, Bragg responded that under New York State law, he is not required to disclose it. “The indictment doesn’t specify it because the law does not so require,” he said.

Fox News legal analyst Gregg Jarrett strongly rejected Bragg’s statement on “Hannity,” arguing that the Sixth Amendment requires Bragg to disclose the specific accusation. Jarrett claimed that the indictment is defective and could be subject to a motion-to-dismiss. He also questioned Bragg’s understanding of constitutional law and suggested that the prosecutor might be acting unscrupulously in targeting Trump.

Washington Times editor Charlie Hurt later expressed disbelief that the charges against Trump could result in a longer prison sentence than that served by notorious Ponzi schemer Bernard Madoff. Hurt criticized Bragg’s actions as embarrassing to the legal profession and a reflection of what he called “wacko, crazed, lunatic, left-wing, politicized Democrat DA’s” trying to destroy Trump.

Other legal cases involving Trump include an investigation by Fulton County, Georgia’s Fani Willis, focusing on allegations that Trump violated the law when he asked Georgia Secretary of State Bradford Raffensperger to “find” votes to secure a win in the state.

In addition, Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed former Kosovo War crimes prosecutor John “Jack” Smith to investigate the discovery of classified documents at Trump’s Palm Beach home.

They are doing everything they can to try and stop Donald Trump and his efforts because his ideals are for the American people. Hopefully Bragg gets ruined for his violation of the 6th amendment and gets sued for defamation. The corrupt state of the White House needs to be challenged.
