Blacks Lives Matter, the organization led by communists has blamed America for Cuba’s struggles.
BLM claims that due to America’s embargo, Cuba was unable to produce/purchase doses of the COVID 19 vaccine, and that this is why citizens are protesting.
“Black Lives Matter condemns the U.S. federal government’s inhumane treatment of Cubans, and urges it to immediately lift the economic embargo. This cruel and inhumane policy, instituted with the explicit intention of destabilizing the country and undermining Cubans’ right to choose their own government, is at the heart of Cuba’s current crisis,” The organization said in a statement.
America has long had a trade embargo on the island nation. As of 2000 however, this embargo does not include humanitarian products.
The U.S. has been trading medical supplies with Cuba for the two last decades. This has likely been going on, longer than most BLM “employees” have been alive. It’s been an entire 21 years.
In 2018, the U.S. actually exported more than $275 million in medicine to Cuba. The blame cannot be placed on America.
BLM claims to be an organization that fights against oppression, specifically oppression when it happens to persons of color.
In this scenario BLM decides to deflect blame from the real oppressive tyrants in the Cuban government, to the American government instead.
