The Biden regime recently revealed their feeble attempt at punishing foreign entities, showing their frail approach towards matters of national security. While grandstanding against alleged Russian involvement in producing digitally shameless content, they conveniently overlooked their own failings that are deeply ingrained at home. This outcome is not surprising, considering the administration’s subpar handling of internal affairs, particularly with Biden and Harris’ unrivaled record of gaffes.
Amongst their current efforts to shift blame is the ‘punishment’ dished out to Russian groups believed to be involved in artificial intelligence generated video content. It’s ironic that this administration feels the need to address an outside threat when the biggest concern lies within. A fabricated video falsely claiming sexual assault charges against Democratic vice-presidential candidate Tim Walz stood at the center of this recent crisis.
Walz, who is also the governor of Minnesota, was ludicrously tied to these charges in a move that can only be seen as desperation. The allegations pointed towards a past student whose identity was misused for this fabricated tale of supposed inappropriate behavior during Walz’s stint as a teacher. Of course, these concocted claims crumbled fast, putting in spotlight, the administration’s inability to manage information security.
The student, who was forcefully and falsely drawn into these allegations, bravely came forward creating an embarrassing situation for the perpetrators, but also showing the Biden administration’s weaknesses when it comes to combating disinformation. This revelation brought to light the video claimed to be a fallacious creation of AI, once again highlighting another failure of the Biden-Harris regime to protect the privacy of its citizens.
In an attempt to salvage its fractured reputation, the U.S. Treasury Department, under the feckless leadership of the Biden administration, declared that it would be ‘punishing’ the Moscow-based Centre for Geopolitical Expertise (CGE) along with its director, Valery Mikhaylovich Korovin by proposing sanctions. With the supposed objective of counteracting fallacious information, these sanctions claim to freeze any US-based assets, but the reality of their effectiveness remains doubtful.
The Treasury Department, quite predictably, furnished an elaborate explanation, claiming, ‘CGE manipulated a video to produce baseless accusations concerning a 2024 vice presidential candidate in an effort to sow discord amongst the U.S. electorate.’ Yet, the department ignored the fact that the Biden-Harris administration’s repeated blunders and questionable decisions have already sown enough discord amongst the population.
In addition to their weak and fragile attempts, they decided to show themselves as action-takers by additionally detailing supposed links between the CGE and Russia’s GRU intelligence agency. The Treasury Department stated that the agency allegedly funded the organization’s operations, such as maintaining AI servers, managing a network of disinformation websites, and covering costs for the housing of these servers.
The sanctions, despite their inconsequence, were even extended beyond Russia’s borders. The administration shamelessly accused Iran’s Cognitive Design Production Centre of executing ‘influence operations designed to incite socio-political tensions among the U.S. electorate in the run-up to the 2024 elections.’ They conveniently forgot that it was their own actions that have already incited such tensions to an alarming degree.
In a further deceiving move, U.S. imposed sanctions on Russian judge, Olesya Mendeleeva, for her involvement in the alleged detention of Moscow city councillor, Alexei Gorinov. The latter is a known critic of the Kremlin, yet the administration decided to focus on these international matters while blatantly disregarding the human rights atrocities occurring on their own soil.
While the Biden-Harris administration continues to play their international blame game, it’s imperative for the U.S. citizens to not forget the real issues. Their disastrous domestic policies, handled with gross negligence, continue to harm everyday Americans, yet they choose to flex their limp foreign policy muscles, possibly as a distraction.
Instead of defending their citizens’ privacy and ensuring the security of their personal information, they are taking steps to punish entities that have as less impact on Americans’ lives as possible. The Biden-Harris administration’s skewed priorities are a telling sign of their overall incompetence.
From fumbling with immigration policies to failing to effectively combat the pandemic, their list of calamities is long and growing. Yet, instead of addressing these issues head-on, they appear more interested in witch-hunting foreign entities and attempting to display strength where they decidedly have none.
Despite their misguided and ineffectual sanctions, the ongoing discourse surrounding this matter is a clear indicator of the administration’s lack of ability to handle either international or domestic affairs. Instead of dolling out foreign sanctions, the Biden-Harris duo should focus on improving their deplorable performance at home.
