Are Republicans fascist? If you asked Biden or his Press Secretary, the answer may be yes.

In a recent Press briefing, Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre called Republicans semi-fascists. Referring to any American political party with this connotation does nothing more than dilute the word and its meaning

“You look at the definition of fascism and you think about what they’re doing in attacking our democracy, what they are doing in taking away our freedoms…our voting rights,” she explained

Republicans have made no push to take away anyone’ss voting rights. Instead, they’ve pushed for secure polls where photo ID verification is required.

Republicans also haven’t done away with any freedoms as the only governing body with the ability to do this is the impartial Supreme Court.

This comment kicks back to President Biden’s Thursday comment that Republican proposals were “semi-fascist”.

“It’s not hyperbole, now you need to vote to literally save democracy again,” Biden said in an attempt to extract support from the fear of his voters.

Joe continued on, “America must choose. You must choose. Whether our country will move forward or backward.”

“Trump and the extreme MAGA Republicans have made their choice – to go backward full of anger, violence, hate, and division,” he explained.

This has been a common tactic on the left: think of the most despicable political class in history and attempt to weaponize the fear held in their name to tear down opponents.

Donald Trump was constantly compared to Adolf Hitler and the Nazi party during his time as President. Donald Trump, love him or hate him is not a Nazi nor a Fascist.

But when the words are constantly assigned to the man, the public perception of both Trump and the word describing him diminish.
