A retired 3-star general of the U.S. Army who was working in a “mentor” position has been suspended after he teased Jill Biden on Twitter.
Lt. Gen. Gary Volesky had sent a tweet to the First Lady, congratulating her on discovering what a woman was amid the overturning of Roe v. Wade.
“Glad to see you finally know what a woman is,” he responded to one of Jill’s tweets about “women’s rights”
“Lt. Gen. Theodore Martin, commanding general of the Combined Arms Center, has suspended retired Lt. Gen. Gary Volesky from performing duties as a Highly Qualified Expert — Senior Mentor pending the outcome of the commander’s inquiry,” an Army Spokesperson told Fox News
The General is not actually serving as a member of the armed forces right now – he’s retired. He works in a civilian capacity but that did not stop the Army from suspending his role.
At this time it’s unclear if Volensky will be able to return to his position or if he will remain suspended indefinitely.
