Trump Energy Chief: Climate Change ‘Nowhere Near The World’s Biggest Problem’

President Donald Trump’s Energy Secretary, Chris Wright, has made it clear that climate change hysteria has been vastly overblown, stating that global warming is not even close to being the world’s most pressing issue.

Energy Secretary: ‘More CO? is Actually Beneficial’

In a direct challenge to left-wing climate alarmism, Wright pointed out that increased carbon dioxide (CO?) levels have contributed to a 14 percent increase in global greenery over the past four decades, reinforcing the fact that CO? is essential for plant life and food production.

“The idea that fossil fuels are a threat to humanity is ridiculous. The truth is, they have lifted billions out of poverty, made modern life possible, and helped create the most advanced societies in history.”

Wright also noted that cold-related deaths far exceed heat-related deaths, making the argument that some degree of warming may actually save lives rather than endanger them.

America First: Prioritizing Energy Independence Over Climate Extremism

As part of Trump’s America First energy policy, Wright is focused on expanding domestic oil, gas, and alternative energy production, ensuring that the U.S. achieves energy dominance while keeping costs low for American families.

  • More drilling, fewer regulations – Streamlining federal oversight to increase domestic production and reduce reliance on foreign energy.
  • Dismantling radical climate policies – Rolling back Biden-era restrictions that have crippled American energy independence.
  • Ending the war on fossil fuels – Restoring coal, oil, and natural gas production to secure cheap, reliable energy for American consumers and businesses.

Net Zero: ‘A Sinister and Terrible Hoax’

Wright sharply criticized the left’s push for “net-zero” carbon emissions, calling it a “sinister and terrible” agenda designed to cripple Western economies while giving China and other global competitors a free pass.

“The obsession with net-zero has already led to skyrocketing energy costs, grid failures, and economic stagnation. Meanwhile, China keeps ramping up coal production without consequence.”

Trump’s Energy Revolution in Full Swing

Since returning to office, Trump has taken decisive action to restore American energy dominance, including:

  • Exiting the Paris Climate Agreement—again
  • Dissolving Biden’s climate czar position
  • Slashing the Environmental Protection Agency’s overreach
  • Greenlighting major drilling and pipeline projects

Rejecting Climate Fearmongering, Restoring Common Sense

Wright’s stance signals a major departure from Biden’s radical climate policies, bringing scientific and economic realism back to energy policy.

While left-wing climate activists push for government control, higher energy costs, and unreliable renewables, the Trump administration is putting the needs of the American people first—by prioritizing affordable, reliable energy and rejecting the false climate narratives designed to push socialism and globalist control.
