2025 NFL Draft: Anticipation High among Vikings Fans

The anticipation for the 2025 NFL Draft is building up, with every eye in the Vikings fandom watching keenly. In order to keep these dedicated fans informed and knowledgeable about their adversaries, our commitment extends to sharing an NFC North mock draft each Friday from now until the draft week. This is intended to give the fans a clear understanding of what to expect from the NFC North teams in terms of draft picks, targets, and priorities.

While each team in the division has its own unique needs, the Bears emerge as the squad with the largest demand for fresh talent. However, the other teams in the division are not far behind. The Lions, for instance, need to work on enhancing their bench strength, while the Packers have to address certain gaps in their defence. No glaring deficiencies are exhibited by the Vikings today; however, the pending free agency status could alter the dynamics.

Without further ado, we present our second NFC North mock draft leading up to the 2025 NFL Draft. With the Bears and Packers boasting the most draft picks at seven each, the Vikings lag slightly behind with just five picks. In total, the four teams of NFC North will enjoy 26 picks this draft cycle.

For the first round, Josh Simmons, an offensive tackle from Ohio State, is on the radar. The second round might see two big selections: Jihaad Campbell, a linebacker from Alabama, and Princely Umanmielen, an edge-rusher playing for Ole Miss.

Jonah Savaiinaea from Arizona will likely round up the draft’s third round as an offensive lineman. By the fifth round, Marcus Yarns, a running back from Delaware, and Aubrey Burks, a safety from West Virginia stand strong as potential candidates. Lastly, in the seventh round, we might see Jabbar Muhammad, a cornerback coming from the University of Oregon.

The first round for another team could have Shavon Revel, a cornerback from East Carolina, making the cut. Alfred Collins, a defensive lineman from Texas, is a projected second round pick. Coming up in the third round, we have Josaiah Stewart, an edge player from Michigan.

Rolling into the fourth round, Cam Skattebo, a running back from Arizona State seems to be a potential pick, whereas the fifth round could see Miles Frazier, a guard from LSU, joining the roster. The sixth round might behold Malachi Moore, a defensive back from Alabama. Ja’Corey Brooks, a wide receiver from Louisville, could round things off in the seventh round.

In another version of the draft, the first round could witness Trey Amos, a cornerback from Ole Miss, getting picked. Daylen Everette, also a cornerback but this time from Georgia, is a likely candidate for round three. The fifth round could feature Jonah Monheim, an offensive lineman out of USC, and Dani Dennis-Sutton, an edge player from Penn State.

Potential late rounders for this team include Howard Cross III, a defensive lineman from Notre Dame, who could find his way into the roster in the seventh round.

In the ultimate scenario, Walter Nolen, a defensive lineman from Ole Miss, is a probable first-round standout. The next notable prospect could be Jack Bech, a wide receiver out of TCU, likely to be picked in the second round. The fourth round could include Denzel Burke, a cornerback from Ohio State.

Karene Reid, a linebacker from Utah, could potentially join the selection in the sixth round. In the seventh and final round, Cobee Bryant, a cornerback from Kansas, and Collin Oliver, an edge player from Oklahoma State, could be the last to be included in the picks.

This draft cycle promises to be exciting, with many potential standouts and promising talent set to reshape the teams. It’s important to remember that these are projections and the real draft could see some surprising picks.
