In a recent interview, ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith expressed regret over his previous support for the Democratic Party and indicated openness to supporting President-elect Donald Trump.

Speaking with Mark Levin on Fox News’ “Life, Liberty & Levin,” Smith criticized the Democrats for hypocrisy, particularly in light of President Joe Biden’s pardon of his son, Hunter Biden.

Smith stated, “I don’t want to hear about, ‘Oh we’re about the law. Nobody’s above the law.’ But then you go out, and you pardon your son, and you try to blame everybody else for it.”

He also expressed frustration with policies such as defunding the police and open borders, suggesting that most Americans share his concerns.

Smith emphasized his desire for politicians to present clear plans and policies rather than engaging in fearmongering.

He concluded by expressing openness to supporting Republican figures who prioritize America’s interests, stating, “If Donald Trump, JD Vance, Byron Donalds, Marco Rubio, or the host of other Republican candidates coming down the pike, that’s the kind of message that they’re going to put forth, I’m down for it.”

Smith’s comments reflect a growing sentiment among some voters seeking substantive policy discussions over partisan rhetoric.
