Former Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz is set to host a weeknight political talk show on One America News Network (OANN), following his withdrawal from consideration for the position of U.S. Attorney General. The program, titled “The Matt Gaetz Show,” is scheduled to premiere in January, airing at 9 p.m. Eastern Time.

Gaetz’s nomination for Attorney General by President-elect Donald Trump was met with significant opposition due to past allegations of sexual misconduct and drug abuse, leading to his decision to withdraw from the confirmation process. Despite these controversies, Gaetz has maintained a prominent presence in conservative media and politics.

In addition to his new role at OANN, Gaetz will co-host a weekly video podcast with Dan Ball, host of “Real America with Dan Ball.” This collaboration aims to engage a younger demographic, including Millennials, late Gen Z, and early Gen X viewers.

OANN President Charles Herring expressed high expectations for Gaetz’s contributions, emphasizing the network’s commitment to expanding its reach through various media platforms, including streaming services, podcasts, and social media.

Gaetz’s transition from legislative duties to media hosting reflects a broader trend of political figures leveraging media platforms to maintain influence and public engagement. His upcoming show is anticipated to provide insights and analysis on the incoming administration and current political landscape.
