At this point, reports suggest that the official spotted the operator of the vehicle launching into an attempt to escape by running away. Meanwhile, the focus shifted towards the two riders who had remained within the confines of the vehicle.

During an inspection of the scene, a fully equipped 9mm cartridge was found resting on the passenger-side carpeting. However, the occupants were escorted out of the worn-down vehicle, and additional evidence wasn’t discovered during the subsequent search of the interiors.

The local law enforcement then partnered with the personnel at the Mohawk Valley Psychiatric Center for assistance. With the help of video recordings from surveillance cameras, they were able to watch a man, whose physical attributes matched the description of the driver, moving swiftly across the vicinity.

The UPD officials managed to track him down where he was found concealed next to a refuse container, leading to his subsequent detention. Their search also extended to the immediate surroundings , and during inspection of the area next to the dumpster, they stumbled upon a significant find

Their effort bore fruit when law enforcement officers recovered a 9mm untraceable firearm from the refuse container. Drawing a connection between this firearm and the earlier unearthed magazine, they were able to establish that the magazine was indeed a part of the recovered firearm.
