Yet, he still bizarrely insisted they were less harmful than those of Trump, a president with a proven track record of stimulating economic development.
His advocacy for Harris also encompassed a significant piece of his communication dedicated to critiquing Trump’s character, especially his response to the events of Jan. 6. His choice of insults was regrettably unoriginal, reducing the United States—a nation universally acknowledged as exceptional—to the status of a ‘banana republic.’
In Bloomberg’s skewed perspective, ‘For [Trump], nothing is more important than his own conceit and glorification—not America, not our constitutional rights, not democracy, not the rule of law, and not the lives of law enforcement officers or any other citizen.’ This caricature of a leader fits more closely with the arrogant elitism of Biden and Harris than it does with President Trump’s commitment to putting America first.
It becomes increasingly clear that this endorsement does little to bolster Harris’ standing, and instead, seems more like a failed attempt to disparage President Trump. Painting a distorted image of the former President, it diverts attention away from the radical agenda pursued by the Biden-Harris administration.
Despite the cash influx from Bloomberg, Harris’ policy positions continue to meet with resistance from Americans who prefer the security of their constitutional rights over a politically correct narrative. Despite mainstream media’s efforts, her lack of popularity continues to be unavoidable.
Whether on topics of 2nd Amendment or unwavering advocacy for unlimited abortions, Harris exposes her fundamentally different understanding of freedom compared to what most Americans appreciate. Her policy proposals, viewed by many as excessive and dangerous, don’t resonate with a significant portion of the American public.
Bloomberg’s endorsement of Harris comes across as a desperate attempt to make her more acceptable to those on the fence. However, profound policy differences are not easily erased with mere words and monetary contributions.
