San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa created a media stir Sunday night after unexpectedly interrupting an NBC Sports postgame interview wearing a bold red “Make America Great Again” hat. Known for his talent on the field, Bosa’s choice of headgear and unabashed support for Donald Trump quickly became a topic of conversation among fans and teammates alike.

After pointing to the MAGA hat with a grin, Bosa briefly stepped away from the camera. His teammates and the reporter on the field couldn’t help but chuckle, showing a level of comfort with Bosa’s display. Comedian Tim Young noted the reactions in a post on X, saying, “It’s not just that Nick Bosa crashed the postgame with his MAGA hat… It’s that everyone else around him enjoyed it. The tide has turned.”

At the postgame press conference, Bosa was asked about his support for Trump. While choosing not to go into detail, he stated, “I’m not gonna talk too much about it, but I think it’s an important time,” signaling his strong beliefs without diving into specifics.

Bosa’s support for Trump isn’t new. Back in 2019, Donald Trump congratulated him on social media after he was picked second in the NFL draft. “You will be a great player for years to come… San Francisco will embrace you, but most importantly, always stay true to yourself. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump tweeted.

While Bosa may be one of the NFL’s most prominent supporters of Trump, he’s not alone. Former NFL star Brett Favre is also set to speak at an upcoming Trump rally in Wisconsin. “My Vote is for what makes this country great, freedom of speech and religion… police and military,” Favre posted on social media in 2020, adding his own nod to MAGA principles.

Bosa’s MAGA hat moment is being celebrated by conservatives as a bold statement in a league where political views often lean the other way, showing that some athletes feel emboldened to share their beliefs openly on and off the field.
