A member of the high school dance team, Emily Gold, tragically took her life shortly after she was seen on the popular television showcase ‘America’s Got Talent.’ A press notice was released on Friday by the Highway Patrol office of Rancho Cucamonga. They announced that their officers had responded to an emergency call regarding a ‘pedestrian lying down in lanes’ on the 210 freeway late in the evening.
The press release detailed that an anonymous woman had been impacted by a vehicle, or possibly more, in the high occupancy vehicle (HOV) lane on the eastbound SR-210 freeway. Sadly, the inflicted injuries were severe, leading to her death, which was confirmed at the incident’s location.
The press statement from the Patrol conveyed that an investigation into the circumstances that led to this unfortunate incident is being conducted. The information about what transpired during this time is yet to be revealed.
The office of the San Bernardino Coroners, in its interaction with Deadline, disclosed that they consider Emily Gold’s untimely demise as a result of her decision to end her own life.
To provide financial support to Emily’s family during this heart-breaking period, a GoFundMe page was established. The message from the Gold family shared with profound sorrow the news that their child, a part of the Los Osos Grizzly community, Emily Gold, is no longer with them.
The family shared, ‘We are all in immense grief, and we earnestly appeal to the community to unite and stand with the Gold family during this challenging time. Be aware that all funds raised will be handed directly over to the Gold family to assist them financially during this sorrowful time.’
Eric Cypher, the Principal of Los Osos High School, issued a statement to the school’s parents and students in the wake of Emily Gold’s death. He said, ‘With a heavy heart, I share the tragic news about one of our respected Grizzlies. In the early hours today, we lost a senior and cherished Grizzly member, Emily Gold.’
He added, ‘Emily was a dedicated member of both our Varsity Dance Team and Varsity Cheer squad. Our thoughts and prayers are extended to her family during this time of grief.’
A tribute post was shared on the Instagram account of Los Osos High School’s varsity dance team. The heartfelt message thanked everyone for their goodwill and emotional support during this period of sorrow, and urged everyone to remember the Gold family in their prayers and thoughts.
Under Emily’s contribution, the high school dance team was able to reach the quarterfinals of ‘America’s Got Talent’ competition in August. There has been no direct comment from ‘America’s Got Talent’ in response to Fox News Digital’s request.
Even though the dance team did not make it to the final round of the competition, judge Simon Cowell had uplifting words for the young performers. He expressed, ‘The performance was simply fantastic.’
Cowell was all praises for the team’s commendable energy. ‘What I just witnessed is the epitome of what a great school aims to achieve, which is nurturing talent and encouraging camaraderie,’ he expressed.
Adding to his praise, Cowell shared, ‘The act reminded me of the High School Musical movie, and it left me with the impression that every child’s school experience should resemble this.’
After the performance on ‘America’s Got Talent,’ Emily Gold had a conversation with People about the lessons she learned from the experience. ‘As I’m delivering my performance, I focus on the areas we’ve been instructed to improve. We receive this feedback just minutes before stepping on stage, so my primary concentration when on stage is to ensure we’ve applied the corrections,’ Emily expressed back in August.
