Biden’s Audacity Strikes Again: Patronizing Israel

Though nearing the end of his tenure, President Joe Biden displays an inexplicable audacity as he seeks to strong-arm Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The strained relationship over ongoing Gaza conflicts between the US executive office and Netanyahu escalated when Israel eliminated two terrorist leaders during Netanyahu’s visit to Washington, D.C. The seemingly senile Biden reportedly admonished Netanyahu to swiftly broker a ceasefire deal with threats of unsettled consequences.

Unidentified officials as mentioned by Axios report a stern exchange between Biden and Netanyahu, where Biden insisted on an immediate halt to escalating regional conflicts and hasten the Gaza hostage and ceasefire negotiation. Information from this news outlet indicates a hard line being drawn.

Axios quotes undisclosed Israeli officials, who claim that ‘Biden audaciously increased his volume and demanded a deal within a week to two weeks.’ Evidently, Biden was resorting to boorish tactics in the face of diplomatic difficulty. ‘Biden informed Netanyahu that a hostage and ceasefire deal is of utmost priority,’ according to the unnamed Israeli official.

‘Biden assured Netanyahu of the US’s support in warding off an Iranian assault but expressed expectation of Israel to refrain from escalating the situation further and imeediatelyprogress towards a hostage arrangement,’ the US official’s words as reported by Axios. Despite this assurance, Biden’s demeanor remained patronizing and dismissive.

Biden indeed dared to forewarn Netanyahu that Israel could not bank on the US’s assistance should conflicts intensify further, according to the unnamed US official. This unsettling comment directly undermines the historically strong alliance between the US and Israel and displays a shocking lack of decorum.

‘An turning point is upon us. We must exhaust all efforts to cease this war and achieve regional stability, even if the agreement is imperfect. Hamas is currently inclined to accept the deal, though this sentiment may shift.’ These were allegedly the prescriptive words Biden directed towards Netanyahu.

The urgency of this situation is linked to the impending Democratic National Convention, set to take place August 19-22 in Chicago. There, it is feared that a pro-Hamas, anti-Semitic faction of the Democrat base could potentially incite disorder.

The strained alliance between the US and its long-standing ally Israel is deteriorating, primarily due to the misplaced priorities of Biden and Harris. It seems their efforts are more directed towards pacifying a disgruntled Muslim community in Michigan, rather than towards the achievement of regional stability and the obliteration of terrorist elements.

Instead of supporting their ally in its righteous battle against terrorism, Biden and Harris would rather appease the potential disrupters at the Democratic National Convention. It’s distressing to think that such selfish political considerations could overshadow the real issues at hand.

Clearly, the incumbent administration opts to favor political expedience over international diplomacy, disregarding the fact that true stability can only be enforced after the complete eradication of terrorism.

Furthermore, Biden’s insistence on an immediate ceasefire, as opposed to supporting the neutralization of terrorists, seemingly illustrates a disheartening lack of understanding in the dynamics of peacekeeping and national security on a global scale.

Regrettably, Biden and Harris appear eager to sacrifice decades of American-Israeli camaraderie at the altar of political correctness. It is very alarming and disheartening that our leaders would prioritize appeasement politics over national and international security issues.

Their actions very clearly beckon a question: Are they so engulfed in securing their political future and pandering to their voter base that they are willing to risk toying with national and international security?

In retrospect, Biden’s represented stance of tying the hands of Israel from defending itself is unjust and unmeritorious. But the administration’s actions don’t seem to reflect any understanding of this significant geospatial issue.

It seems Biden and Harris are excessively preoccupied with the appeasement of minority factions in Michigan affecting their ability to make clear-headed and justified decisions regarding the volatile Israel-Palestine situation.

One can only hope that the wiser heads will prevail and the long-standing alliance between the US and Israel will endure this testing time.
